more I think about this... oil = illegal immigration amnesty

All night I have been watching the news discussing the Alaska oil pipeline problem. Every political person who has been on this has been saying well Mexico and I forget the other country will help us out with oil.

So basically Bush is the oil man so to please his mexican government buddies he will grant amnesty as a thank you if he has his way.

    This makes me sick!

Maybe I m reading to much into this but I cannot help but think it.

    Pandabear,

Those were my exact thoughts. (It was Mexico and Saudi Arabia on the NBC news.)

I'm just waiting for Chavez to cut us off from Venezuela's oil!

    question

Does it not strike anyone as strange that just a few weeks ago Tony Blair visited Bohemian Grove and now all of a sudden this happens?

DOBBS: Tonight, we want to give you some facts about the shutdown of the country's largest oil field in Alaska.

Contrary to what you may have read or heard today, it is not British-owned BP's oil field. BP operates the Prudhoe Bay oil field for a consortium of companies, including ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips and Chevron. ExxonMobil, by the way, is the largest individual owner, not BP, although it is an owner.

Four hundred thousands barrels of oil are produced each and every day in Prudhoe Bay, and for once we can tell you your federal government did something important and, more importantly, correctly. After last March's 200,000-gallon oil spill in the same area, the Department of Transportation required BP to begin conducting rigorous tests on the pipelines. Those tests revealed these problems.

In several locations, more than 70 percent of the pipeline walls have been corroded. Crude oil prices today, as a result, spiked more than $2 on the news, closing near $77, just five cents short of the all-time high price.

The strong market reaction comes despite the loss of what amounts to just one-half of 1 percent of global production. And as far as we can tell, BP hasn't yet paid a dime in fines for the oil spill in March, and that means tonight companies like BP, well, you guessed it, they're making more money than ever.

There have been numerous articles about the Iranian bourse which was scheduled to open on March 20, 2006 in conjunction with Chavez stating he would not NOT demonimate in U.S. currency as well and ONLY sell oil in EUROS. If both REFUSE to sell in U.S. currency that would send the U.S. economy into a nose dive.

It is my understanding that is their gameplan. It is also my understanding that the true reason for going to Iraq was because Saddam refused to play ball, so the story was cooked up about WMD's and off we went. I didn't believe it was about oil at first, but I have had a change of heart.

What happens with all the debt the U.S. has if all the countries who carry our debt notes say "PAY UP"?

With Jorge BOOSH its always about oil. That is one of the main investments the Bush family holds.

So again I ask...What happens with all the debt the U.S. has if all the countries who carry our debt notes say "PAY UP"?

We have our troops spread so thin; who is left to protect us besides ourself, and how can we protect ourselves when crap like happened to StokeyBob goes unpunishes, and I believe, is even endorsed.

My question is this. Where the hell have those record oil company profits gone that were supposed to be going back into upgrading oil infracture? They knew there was a problem over a year ago and instead of fixing what was known bad, big oil lay's in wait to to crush our wallets with their 1% loss. Ladies and gentlemen, democracy has left the building!

Well, Sherri, if you check the Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports, you'll find that between the federal, state, and municipal governments (all of which are now subsidiaries of a single entity under the same common debt), there is about $70 trillion off-budget in various funds. That should more than cover it if we can get the dirtbags in government to admit they've stashed all that cash while milking us for more and more taxes.

Well you know that will never happen. I think the folks in D.C. wrote the definition for "criminal" since that is what they are. Bilking us right and left without making any sacrifice themselves.

Have you seen any of Walter Burien's research into the CAFRs?
