Senate Sneaks Immigration Provision Into Department of Defense Authorization Bill

Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) used back-room negotiations to slip language into the Department of Defense Authorization bill, signed into law on October 18, 2006, that potentially doubles the H-2B visa cap for unskilled workers. This language added to the defense bill is similar to the H-2B amendment Senator Mikulski offered to S.2611, the Senate guest worker amnesty bill that the House refused to take to conference committee. Senator Mikulski was successful in including the H-2B language to in the Defense Authorization bill despite statements from Armed Services Chairman John Warner (R-VA) that he would not allow any extraneous provisions to be added to that bill. In contrast, before Congress adjourned for the November elections, House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-IL) waged a public battle to attach his own immigration provision to the same defense bill. Speaker Hastert's provision would have prohibited alien gang members from entering the U.S. and allowed for the detention and deportation of alien gang members already within the country. Chairman Warner, however, refused the Speaker's request to include the alien gang language. Last week, as the President signed the Defense Authorization bill into law, Senator Mikulski released a statement stating she would not have been successful in her effort to pass the H-2B provision without the help of Senator Warner.

How are senators able to slip language into a bill without the insertion being voted on beforehand? What is "back-room negotiations?" They are all such traitors. She needs to be voted out, along with the rest of the traitors. She is not up for reelection until 2008.

S.2611 is going to be passed one piece at a time in a back room deal slipped into another bill.

They don't know... I did not know. And you know what? I'm sure this happens all the time...

This junk needs to stop. Immigration should not be attached to Defense bills. Just like Defense bills shouldn't be attached to Immigration bills.

What the hell is an immigration issue doing in a DOD bill?

There are no congressional investigations regarding the fact that the Council of Foreign Relations is drafting our bills, not our government. I believe our Senators are either being paid, or have been promised some kind of future gratuity, or, they are being threatened by the secret societies like Builderbergs, the Rhodes Scholar Society, the Council of Foreign Relations, etc. What other reason would drive any politician to betray his or her own country? The only way we can stop this madness is to have these societies investigated and exposed by all forms of the media for what they are.

At least we know who are the betrayers..the ones who have or will be paid, or are being threatened. Real American politicians would stand up against the elites. The law applies to all, not to exclude the elites. Expose the criminals now!! This is nothing short of extortion.
