    John Boozman(R)) Arkansas

Rep. Boozman Opposes Senate Immigration Amnesty Plan

I do not support the Senate’s compromise immigration plan as it is written because, in my opinion, it represents amnesty for the millions of illegal immigrants who have broken American law.

This plan rewards behavior that Americans do not support. You can’t solve the problems of illegal immigration by making everyone legal.

While there are parts of this plan, including measures which secure our borders, and the move to a merit-based system which gives priority to legal immigrants with high education and skill levels, which I can support, this granting of a free pass to millions of illegal immigrants outweighs any other positive portion of this plan.

If the Senate plan comes before the House in its present form, I will vote against it.
Government is not reason;it is not eloquence; it is force! Like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master! George Washington

Wouldn't it be better, more effective, more intelligent

TO ENFORCE EXISTING LAWS and NOT write any "new" treasonous AMNESTY/SPP legislation?

Maybe someone should tell that to the good man.

" It Represents Amnesty" Intelligent observation I guess when you think how so many of them are interpreting it To bad that message is falling on deaf ears. I guess your going to have to say it alittle louder so the Senate can hear you Rep. Boozman.

Who is going to believe a man with a name like that
( kind of like Flake )

If these politicians truly wanted to fix this immigration mess...they would begin by removing all incentives for people to enter illegally, such as:

    1. Increase the fines on employers to really punish them for hiring illegals.
(Just like we have for polluters of the environment)

    2. Remove the "anchor baby" status.

    3. Stop giving illegals access to any welfare services. (I know that if a low income female gets pregnant she can receive free medical care, food, vitamins and that she can give birth at no charge what so ever to herself, regardless of her illegal status. Then when the child is born the government gives her food stamps and money because the child is a US citizen)

    4. Stop paying for illegals children's education...if they have their kids here they should be charged for the kids' education. Why should US taxpayers pay for a bunch of kids from 3rd world countries to go to school for free?

    5. Allow local law enforcement to deal with illegals.

    6. Deport all illegals who are criminals.

    7. Tell Mexico that we will be sending them a bill for what their people use up in social services.

Basically we would be applying many of the same concepts that the Mexicans use against illegals in their own country.

When I see politicians begin talking about these things, then I will believe that they're serious about this problem.

Until that point, there are only empty promises.

The politicians are never serious about fixing illegal immigration because they want them here for their votes and cheap labor.

We do not need a so-called comprehensive reform plan. What we do need to do is secure our borders and enforce our written immigration laws!
