I heard about this a few years ago. Apparently, McCain tried to use threats and bribes to try to keep the news from hitting the media. When it was clear that neither would work, is when Cindy McCain made her public announcement revealing that she was a drug addict and was stealing drugs. They wanted to be able to put their "spin" on it, before the media released their version.

Yes and John McCfarty has also adopted the "Clinton" tactics.
He refuses to speak to any media or do interviews if there is any shady light brought out in the interview. He sets the questions and the agenda or else you don't get the big interview.

When real reporters break the real story like depleted uranium or 9-11 then those people are just nuts and crazies. And since the majority of people haven't heard anything of them, they believe the crooks!
