JOHN PETERSMITH HOSPITAL, FORT WORTH, TEXAS IS DOING A STUDY

    http://www.dfw.com/mld/dfw/news/local/15241259.htm

I know we have larger fish to fry, but would appreciate your sending an email to the columnist listed at the bottom of the article. Taxpayer dollars support this county hospital and now special interest groups want to take the extra $ (paid by our taxes) and use it on illegals. We need help in Fort Worth to rid ourselves of illegal population. AMERICANS FIRST!

    My letter:

Relative to the story about the pending JPS study to determine the potential cost of changing its policy and providing healthcare for illegal aliens I have a couple of comments.

First off, I quote the article:

"We need to know whether it is 10,000 people or 200,000 people who would fit that criteria," Earley told the JPS Health Network board Wednesday. "We need to examine the cost aspect of this and the impact on capacity that policy change would bring."

What ever happened to standing on principle? Forget about the cost, what about the idea of taking TAX DOLLARS to give to foreign nationals illegally on US soil? As long as I am being forced to pay taxes, this is the same as a government official telling me that if a hungry guy tries to burglarize my house, I am bound by law to make him a sandwich from my own pantry.

This is euphimistically being called "charity care," but is it charity when the money is being taken from taxpayers under the threat of government prosecution? In my book, charity is something voluntarily given. Mandatory redistribution of wealth may be socialism or it may simply be larceny under color of law.

Patterson seems to be the only person making sense:

"I realize I am outnumbered, but I don't feel like we should give these people a soft place to land in our country," said Patterson, of Fort Worth. "There are a lot of people here telling you how they feel about this, but maybe you should ask the public what the public feels."

This member of the public says that JPS should think twice before giving my tax dollars to criminal interlopers. Nothing in any of our various compacts with government empowers any branch to confiscate our money and then hand it over to foreign invaders. As a matter of fact, doing so comes dangerously close to treason.

    Sincerely,

    XXXXXXX

    CG,

Also, you can send comments to the board chairwoman.

Erma C. Johnson Hadley, Chair (woman)
    e-mail to: BoardChair@jpshealth.org

Just a little background. The board decided to give services to illegals. In no time at all, they started loosing money and not showing a profit. Then the Fed. Gov. passed the law that only required that illegals receive emergency services. The board dumped everything but the non-emergency services and "emergency" deliveries. Of course, they recovered financially. Now the pro-illegals want them to give up all their surplus funds, which they have been collecting to build a new off site specialty clinic, some in school services and a "tower" (new wing) of the hospital. They are predicting a half million budget shortfall.

The big problem is that illegal rent or move into low income dwellings so they are very needy but the tax dollars don't cover their demands. Really, a house designed for a family of 4 has over 11 people living in it. They are overburdening the system.

Geez who knows how many anchor babies they deliver each year. There are over 11 thousand in Dallas Parkland a year!
