Thread: Judge Awards Custody of American Child to Illegal Alien

Hey folks:

I am trying to find ways to get this story to the media. Is there anyone that can offer some advice? A judge in Prattville, ALABAMA has awarded ciustody of a 3 year old child to an illegal alien. The child is the son of the illegal. The mother, an American citizen, was originally awarded custody but was having trouble receiving her her child support and had to endure the father's constant threats that he would take the child to mexico and never return. When she informed him that she was going to take him back to court to enforce the child support order, the illegal filed a petition for CUSTODY of the child.

The father is currently out on bond awaiting a deportation hearing tha that is scheduled in Atlanta during June.

Any guidance or help anyone could give will be most appreciated.

check the UCCJEA ( uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Enforcement Act) the PKPA Parental kidnapping Prevention Act) and the hague conventions on international child and parental rights. If the divorce was here, if the child was born here and has spent 2 years here the child may not be allowed to leave the country without the parents consent. the child has rights too to maintain its citizenship. the court may be prevented from allowing the child to leave the country. the court that issued the order may not have jurisdiction.
