Listening to Rove speak to this group was like listening to someone from a foreign world...another planet. I could not "connect" with anything he said to them. And I think they are largely attorneys judging from their website which now fits with his comments. It was about "shaping the future of the United States" through appointments to the US Supreme Court like they did in Texas stacking it with Republicans.
Nothing wrong with stacking it with Republicans....but which Republicans?
Real Republicans or NeoConRinos intent upon dissolving the United States, rushing us down the water slide to a Third World Existence; turning our politics over to foreign interests?
Frightening!
Here is the bottom-line as you point out, Bootsie. If the Federalist Society IS what it claims to be....it would not invite Karl Rove to address their group.
So, now we have another "group" to track.

LOVE IT!!! Karl Rove is one strange cookie, isn't he?? That Federalist Society IS made up of lawyers and I bet their idea of federalism IS stacking the COURTS with THEIR BRAND of JUDGES. I have a SERIOUS problem with that. I still think Courts, and ESPECIALLY the Supreme Court, should represent THE PEOPLE and Bush is now going to stack that Court so full of ultra right wingers that we will never see life as we once knew it again.
