George P. Bush voted for Trump, but his presidential uncle and grandpa? Maybe not, he says

George P. Bush says he's the only member of his powerful political family who will be voting straight-ticket Republican and says his grandfather and uncle, both former presidents, could "potentially" cast ballots for Hillary Clinton.

Bush was addressing a small Republican rally in San Marcos, Texas, Tuesday night.

He was pressed later by The Associated Press to clarify his remarks. He said then of George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush: "I don't know how they voted. I'm speculating, to be honest."

Asked if either could vote for Clinton, Bush answered:

"Potentially. But hard to speculate."

Bush is Texas' land commissioner. His father, Jeb, is the former Florida governor who was defeated by Donald Trump in the Republican presidential primary.

For as much as our people and party have done for the Bush family, except for George P, it's outrageous that they are not supporting our nominee.

It's a little much to expect a whole lot of any kind of support from HW Bush. The man is not speaking in public any more at all. The famous quote and image from the Kennedy claiming that he was voting for Clinton is bound to be suspect. W Bush is also not speaking at all in public. The real trouble out there from the Republicans is speaking in public about it. Even those like Cruz and McCain who claim in public to be supporting him are not helping at all.

Kasich votes McCain instead of Trump
