Mayor Villaraigosa gives most of his speeches in Spanish even though there is a state law that says business shall be English conducted in English.

Somebody needs to file a lawsuit against this traitor for violating state law.

In addition, he holds dual citizenship in Mexico. According to state law, one cannot hold public office in California if one holds dual citizenship.

So true! Mexico (whose people are of Spanish, not Incan, decent) invaded the American southwest 30 years before they sold it to America. I am so sick and tired of these imposters claiming to be indigenous to these regions when the fact is, they were the first to invade and decimate the true indigenous people! Pueblo, Hopi, Zuni, Anasazi, Nez Perce, Pomo, Ute, Hupa, Shoshone...and the list goes on, and on, and on!

Perhaps Mexicans should ask themselves why they speak a european language while the surviving Native American tribes of the southwest can still speak their native language and have taken great pains to preserve it.

Excuse me, I beg to differ regarding the mexican people being of spanish descent. This could not be further from the truth. Most of the illegal aliens from mexico(who have invaded out country) are not of european spanish descent. Most of the ones that I run into are plainly of aztec and or mayan indian descent. I have seen a few mestizos here ande there(mixed european and indigenous descent.)but most of what I see are those of indigenous background. I was born in Chile but I am of german, catalan and mapuche indian descent.

What irritates me more than anything is to see these primative communists call themselves latino one minute and indigenous the next. As it is now, South Americans as well as spaniards consider mexico one of the most disgraceful countries in all ibero-america. Mexico does not even speak castilliano nor have they even tried to educate their people(common and proper spanish dialect ofspain) to speak proper spanish. Because of this, Mexico as well as their neighbors in the south are not able to prosper economically and/or academically within iberoamerica(spanish speaking nations) \

One thing I can tell you about these illegal aliens from central american and mexico is that they don't like other latinos-especially educated latinos from south america. They consider south americans and spaniards(most of whom are educated) stuck up. Yep folks, this is the way of thinking of third world communists.They think latinos who are more educated than they are think that they are better than them. Boo Hoo!

sonali, I find that interesting, having an insiders insight into the situation can be very helpful.

My daughter dated a guy who's parents came from Mexico, he was born here and was in the military at the time, however, he was lighter than my daughter and with blue eyes (Spanish family?).

He told her one time something about the majority of the people in Mexico, he called them something (she cannot remember what he said), but then said "they" were dirty people, they could not be trusted and were thieves. This is all she can remember his saying, but not what he called them.

It would be pf great interest to a lot of people if you could post some factual articles, or maybe translated information on this subject. We all could use some insight, it would be helpful to the fight.
