My friends,
Last summer my wife Stacey & I along with the people a Save Our State, Citizens Commission for Immigration Reform & Mountain Minutemen mounted a collaborative effort to get a new border fence built along the Campo-Tecate section of the border. Jim Gilchrist had NOTHING to do with it, yet here he is not only taking credit for the success of those of us he fought against but using it to con people out of their money.
Please warn anyone who might be taken in by this charlatan. It looks to me that, like his endorsement of the open borders Huckabee, Mr. Gilchrist realizes that as long as the borders remain open, his donations keep flowing in. Don't be fooled. Ask him EXACTLY what he did to accomplish this fence & who he dealt with. I know how it was done because I did it, not him.

Dear Patriot,

Americans now have a voice in government.

The fence along the US-Mexico border is going up! Thanks to minutemen and women all over the country who brought their grievance forward about lax immigration law enforcement and border security, Americans now can actually see their voices being heard by Congress. In keeping with my commitment to bring continued national awareness to the illegal alien invasion dilemma, I visit the border in California from time to time throughout the year to see how the fence program is progressing and to guide US and foreign media and non-media researchers on tours of that area.

Apparently, the Administration is keeping its word to construct an international border fence. Although it appears to be a slow process, at least it is being built.

The accompanying photos, taken Thursday, October 16, 2008, along the Campo, California border area is vivid proof that some of our political governors are keeping their word to aggressively deter the intrusion of illegal alien human cargo (slave traders) and drug cartels into the United States.

Gilchrist stole Terry Funderburk's article two weeks ago and used it without LonePatriot's permission to try and raise funds.

He also took an article in the newspaper about the San Diego Minutemen winning their lawsuit over their adopt a highway sign and took out mention of SDD and supplanted their name with Minutemen or Minuteman Project and used their victory to raise funds.

The proof is in that Gilchrist is not producing for this movement but is eager to steal everyone else's accomplishments to to try and generate more funds for himself.

I have no problem with groups raising funds, but doing next to nothing and stealing the work of others to raise funds is very fraudulent in my opinion.

Just wondering what the tax status of the Minutemen Project is? The IRS might want to take a look at the books. And if there has been lifting of words written by other groups and news organizations, then libel laws should certainly apply.

Gilchrist is just exploiting Americans desire to protect our border and our sovereignty? What a geat guy /sarcasm off

I've been with the MinuteMen for many years now....I believe that I've received some of these letter. that seem very suspicious to me, especially after what's been going(fraud) on with the MM leaders.

I think I saved them also.

Thank you all. I registered here some time ago after being banned from Fire (Fascist) Society for not being a good Republican who supports the liberal Juan McAmnesty. My tendancy is to think for myself & go my own way. Apparently they don't take a cotton to Ron Paul or Chuck baldwin supporters.

Anyone who has read "Gilchrist's" book will see that he has also claimed credit for marches & events in LA & envitrons that were in fact totally staged by my friends Chelene Nightengale & Ted Hayes. Although I saw him at these rallies, I had no idea that he would steal credit for them.

I also notice that his website solicits contributions for agents Ramos & Compean. From what I've heard, he has never given those families a nickle. Where's the money going? Could it be that it is being "handled" by his co-conspitor, Steve Eichler who, I understand, just happens to be a professional at setting up & running off-shore accounts?

Please see this story. This is bad for two reasons. One is they are trying to stop regular people from demanding some kind of enforcment by actually getting out there and doing it and two they want to take away your gun.
Even though there might be a problem with the Minutemen leadership ,I am glad they are trying to do something .I would not leave them unarmed or consider them "domestic terrorists" as this misguided AZ Rep. wants to portray them.

Do you realize how old this is? (January 20, 2007).

The MinuteMen no longer carry firearms while on Border Watch, unless hired by the Border Patrol.
