Jump_start I don't know where you live but it is the same here in South Florida. In fact they work on city and county projects here.

Hey Newbreed,
Um, ya' know 7 years ago I was earning 14 to 16 bucks an hour fixing cars, and semis, trucks, vans, and motorhomes, and over the last few years my wages have dwindled to about 2 bucks an hour. Why? Well, I hear it all the time, these guys over hear are willing to do the same job for less than half your price. They don't speak very good english, but their price is better. The only way I can keep going is to match their price. But after paying operations costs, parts costs, materials costs, taxes and insurance, and certifications costs, there's nothing left for me to buy food, clothing, let alone put a roof over my head. Or pay the ex child support. So where's this other money supposed to come from? Working another job? I already average 60 to 80 hours a week. I developed ulcers over it, and I have not had health insurance for 5 years, and was hospitolised from them, and how am I supposed to pay for the medical bills, when I can barely pay for my medication? Which I am required to take for as long as I live.
The industries most impacted so far, automotive repair and body and paint, landscaping, construction, agriculture, and food services. And if it's allowed, trucking on a national level, because this is just another job that Americans aren't willing to do. Yeah right! It's not business is business, it's the rape of the people. It's greed on a grand scale. Abuse of power, mismanagement for the benefit of the few.
