City of Durham offering Spanish-language programming on government television channel

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — The City of Durham is now offering Spanish-language educational program on the local government's television channel.
Officials said Monday that it will offer 30 minutes of programming for Spanish-speaking residents each night. The content will cover topics ranging from mortgage help to preventing identity theft.
Durham spokeswoman Beverly Thompson says the new material is an important step in the city's efforts to provide programming that serves the diverse community. She says officials want all Durham residents to rely on Durham Government Television as a source for information.
The programming is provided by the Federal Trade Commission.

We need the NC General Assembly to cut most of the funding going to the Durham City council.

Ofcourse one could just throw the TV out the window!
Can't just go cold turkey? Then you could get a DVD player, cancel the cable subsciption and then just watch DVDs. Then as you wean yourself off from the addiction you could then take your TV set to the range with you. Parting is always such sweet sorrow!
I have saved over $12,500.00 in subscription fees since I quit TV.
