Its all about money. Business wants the spanish speakers dollars. They could care less if they speak english or not. Mass illegal immigration created this monster.

    Hi Butterbean
I do this if I get a live person or if I have the option to leave voice mail.

We have got to come up with a plan that would put US in the driver's seat, not them. Pressing 1 for english is insulting. In spanish speaking countries, they dont have press 1 for spanish, do they?

About 2 months ago I called AT&T to get DSL. It was interesting because one of their employees said that now that AT&T had bought out SBC, they were going to soon be sending 7,000 jobs offshore. Merge, lose jobs.
Merge, lose competition. Merge, lose America.

You can't get a real person from the phone company until you press about 5 option buttons. The first, of course, being the one about which language you want.

It's amazing how many of those people are upset, but they're not able to say anything because their phone conversations are recorded. I heard that the trucks have tracking devices on them so the somebody always knows where they are. Does this sound like America?

    STATE'S RIGHTS!!!

I'm tired of it, and I'm tired of getting CSR's in India too.

A friend of mine from high school, very meek Christian woman, plays the piano at church, started venting at me one day about pushing 1 for English and also having menus written in Spanish. She and her husband went on vacation and went to a restaurant -- she was so angry, the waiter couldn't even understand "plain English."
