The mass deporation stance is not the right stance for any democrats running for president because the hispanic votes has now surpassed the black votes and will increase in'08, so forget about lobbying democrats on mass deportation , and will not happen.
We're not asking for a "Conservative" stance on immigration. We are asking for an American stance on immigration. Any elected official who puts the needs of foreign invaders above the needs and wishes of the American people is himself no American.
Exactly! ...but instead of looking at what is best for the country...they choose to be bought out for votes!
They are suppose to be so smart, but yet they are so ignorant! They too, are going to lose in the end! One way or the other by allowing a massive invasion of another country to take over!

And they all like to throw deportation around like it can't be done. In the first place it could be! In the second place...we don't have to. TAKE AWAY THEIR REASON FOR BEING HERE! No benefits, no jobs...they will leave here on their own...! Most of them anyway!
Please help save America for our children and grandchildren... they are counting on us. THEY DESERVE the goodness of AMERICA not to be given to those who are stealing our children's future! ... and a congress who works for THEM!

Obama is just saying what his liberal base wants to hear...
So, you're saying is either a liar or a hypocrite, eh?

Even the white liberal support the senate bill
Not the ones I know. Also, don't you think it is at all disingenuous to cast blanket generalizations
about people and their political affiliations or aspirations based solely on a person's race or skin tone?

and i think its very unfair to ask him to take the conservative stance on immigration when its not his base...His base is made up of a large component of hispanics that wants the path to citizenship.
But you do think it is fair for a politician to represent a local [sub]-group of people in contradiction to
the wishes of the majority of Americans (eg. citizens)? Also, "base is made up of... hispanics that want[s] the path to citizenship"... Even the terms in which you outline the context are misformed - there are Hispanics in the US that are a). citizens or b). not citizens. To presume that 'Hispanics want a path to citizenship' is a misnomer on its face. What you are speaking of is ILLEGAL ALIENS that are not citizens - many of which are "Hispanics" but many others are not.

The democrats can not afford to lose the hispanic votes, therefore, do not expect tancredo style immigration talk from any democrats running for president.
But if they ["Democrats"] can't win a majority of the voting US population, it is impossible for them to win anything. In my state, a Democratic Congressman holds the strongest (eg. 'toughest') record with respect to
illegal immigration, immigration overall, etc. Party affiliations don't really matter that much. The issue is more likely to be decided on what lies in the hearts and minds of your average, ordinary, law-abiding, US voting
    citizen.

The mass deporation stance is not the right stance for any democrats running for president because the hispanic votes has now surpassed the black votes and will increase in'08, so forget about lobbying democrats on mass deportation , and will not happen.
Again, overuse of generalizations: eg. 'any democrats', 'hispanic votes', 'the black votes', - there are plenty of democrats I know that don't support amnesty, guest-worker programs, etc. Similarly, 'Hispanics' do not
vote as one, unvarying monolithic 'block', etc.

Your side is quick to throw criticism to those whom you disagree with - using the typical and largely unfounded criticism about generalizations based on race, ethnicity, etc. For your side to claim to be aware and sensitive to the diversity of people (diversity of opinion?), you undermine the position greatly by your expeditious use of generalizations.
