Thread: Typical Berkeley media drivel on the subject of Illegals

You might be interested to see how politically-correct Berkeley handles the subject of illegal immigrants. Check out the sob-story in the local East Bay Express at www.eastbayexpress.com for the cover story of their latest issue: "Hundreds of Local Immigrant Women Are Stuck Between Abusive Husbands and Fear of Deportation." I sent them a two-word letter-to-the-editor: "DEPORT THEM." I urge anybody out there to likewise send letters to letters@eastbayexpress.com.

I sent basically the same letter.

I just got a snotty email from Kara Platoni, the author of the recent sob-story in the local East Bay Express about illegal immigrant women and their dysfunctional relationships (and American society's responsiblity to help out these poor, poor "victims" of course). It went: >> "Acebackwords: Okay, wait, maybe this explains everything. I just checked out his webpage, where he has an autobiographical section that goes on for about 8 pages, beginning with: 'About 30 years ago I made a conscious decision to take part in what became known as The Great LSD Experiment." << I emailed her back: >> "Dear Kara Plantoni: Yeah, thats one possible explanation. Perhaps the endless hordes of immigrants that are flooding into America by the millions is just a bad, crazy LSD hallucination. At least, thats what I'm hoping." << Sheesh, if I was as mush-brained as this author so obviously is, I wouldn't be spending too much time worrying about my mental sharpness, or lackthereof. But it shows you the skewered, upside-down priorities of the Politically Correct set here in Berkeley. Here, these illegal immigrants are invading our country, showing their complete disregard and disrespect for the law of the land and the will of the overwhelming majority of the people. And yet, the concept that, as in accordance with that law, we deport these lawbreakers, is considered so bizarre, absurd, and crazy to the Kara Platonis of the world, that the only possible explanation she can come up with is that I must be drug-addled. Which may be true, but I can't help wondering what drug SHE'S on. Or if she just comes by her delusions naturally.

I sent her a much harsher e-mail where I called her anti-American and said that these illegal women should be deported.

I've been sadly reading about your lack of compassion and tolerance for American Citizens today. Americans just want a better life for their families and your precious illegals are quickly eroding that... but actually, even more than the illegals, inolerant bigots like you who hate American Citizens are eroding that.

Oh thats great, Libby. I love it. Giving the liberals a taste of their own "compassion." Because I can tell you, theres nothing compassionate about how this liberalism crap plays out in the real world (as opposed to their nice-sounding rhetoric and bleeding-heart liberal sob stories). I live on the street-level. YOu know who is really paying the price for the endless hordes of immigrants flooding into our country? The American citizens on the bottom. REmember the Rodney King riots? Who did the blacks specifically go after? The Korean immigrants who have been flooding into what had been "their" neighborhoods and are now displacing them. THis tragedy is playing itself out in every city in America; it is a racial tinderbox ready to explode, brought to you by these liberal idiots with their so-called racial "compassion." 18 million new immigrants are projected to come flooding into California over the next 20 years -- a state that already has a serious housing shortage and probably a million American citizens who are already homeless. There is NO AVAILABLE HOUSING. Can these liberal idiots grasp that? WHere are these endless hordes of immigrants going to live? I'll tell you where. They're going to displace millions of American citizens on the bottom of society: the young, the old, the weak, the crazy, and most of all the blacks (who are ALREADY pissed about a million things). YOu give it to em, Libby. Maybe we can still talk some sense into these liberal dunces.

No you do not have permission. Your intention of
running my letter is not to underline the fundamental
problem with the left these days; hatred and bigotry
towards American citizens and western culture. No.
Your intentions in running my letter will be to make
me out as a conservative or maybe even a KKK member if
you feel like doing an extra special job smearing me.

I responded to Ms. Platoni because I had read her
responses to some of my fellow American citizens after
they had written to her and suggested that her "abused
illegal women" should be deported. She pulled a red
herring and some name calling out of her bag of tricks
but that was about it. So much for journalistic
integrity.

Let me tell you something ma'am, we citizens are FED
UP TO HERE with the illegals. Both the left and right
talking heads are screwing the citizens on this and
who suffers the most are the very poor citizens who
have been displaced from their jobs because the
illegals work for cheap third world wages. Not only
that, but all wages across the board have dropped due
to importation of third world labor. Your precious
illegals are killing us, those of us in the working
and middle classes!

I've lost all sympathy for these people. And I've lost
all patience with liberals (of which I am one). I'm
ashamed that liberals would stand arm and arm with
neocons and proclaim "they are just doing the jobs
Americans won't do, they just want a better life for
their family!" Well I want a better life for my family
too! And I live here legally for crying out loud!

I thought we outlawed slavery in this country. Yet
everyday we have millions of illegals going to work
everyday for less than minimum wage, and the liberals
approve and support it as much as the neocons do.

Ms. Platoni and her misplaced compassion makes me want
to vomit. It's clear from her responses to others how
much she hates American citizens. Let her face off
with me in an email rather than running behind her
editor like a little baby.
