Lou Dobbs Tonight
Friday, March 23, 2007

Tonight, Democrats in Congress pass binding legislation for
U.S. troop withdrawal from Iraq. The Bush administration fires
back, saying Democrats are abdicating responsibility in an act
of “political theater.”

Big business is calling for Congress to make it easier for
foreign workers to take American jobs. The President of the
National Foreign Trade Council, who represents large companies
like Microsoft and Boeing, says the United States will risk its
global competitive edge unless it lifts its visa restrictions
for foreign workers. We’ll have a special report on how this
demand by big business could put America’s middle class and our
national security at risk.

The U.S. Chamber of Congress is holding a debate with talk
radio hosts from around the country on reforming America’s
immigration laws. We’ll have a full report.

Army Specialist Alroy Billiman recently received a Purple Heart
for injuries he received while serving in Iraq just four months
ago. Billiman credits the first aid training and quick response
of his comrades for saving his life. A true testament to the
spirit and strength of our men and women in the armed forces,
Billiman is now reunited with his family recovering in San
Diego. We’ll have a special report.

And, three of the country's best political analysts will join
Lou tonight: Ed Rollins, former White House political director;
Robert Zimmerman, Democratic national committeeman; and Michael
Goodwin, Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist for the New York
Daily News.
