As you may have seen and heard in news reports, Senator Kennedy has been at the forefront of immigration reform. He's built a bipartisan coalition around a tough but fair approach to repairing our broken immigration system.

On Monday hundreds of thousands of people in cities across the country joined together in a "National Day of Action for Immigrant Justice." In our nation's capital, more than 200,000 people gathered on the Mall. It was an amazing event, and the crowd went wild when Senator Kennedy took the stage and said "It is time for Americans to lift their voices now -- in pride for our immigrant past and in pride for our immigrant future. Are you with me?"

Judging by the roar of the crowd, they are indeed with Senator Kennedy. Now you have a chance to show your support for this important measure -- and join the fight for justice for all working Americans:

The facts are clear: 63% of Americans believe that immigrants who have lived in the country for a certain period of time should be able to go through the process of obtaining citizenship. But the out-of-touch Republican Congress wants instead to turn these would-be citizens into criminals. And any American who assists them in any way, even priests, would become criminals too.

Republican leaders claim tough enforcement is all that's needed. That's preposterous. Senator Kennedy supports strong enforcement, too, but fairness is equally important.

Republicans claim they value hard work. Where have they been during Senator Kennedy's efforts to raise the minimum wage for millions of hard-working Americans? What have they done to ensure every American worker has access to good health care? How have they protected Social Security for retired American workers?

This year, more than 45,000 of you endorsed Senate Resolution 350, rejecting President Bush's assertion that he was authorized to spy on Americans without a warrant. It is WRONG to break into someone's house and then hold them hostage. I am a LEGAL IMMIGRANT who is very angry that we are opening our doors to a huge volume of undereducated, possibly criminal and disease inflicted people whos first act of 'becoming American' is to commit a crime. The also are creating a cultural divide and REFUSE to assimilate. They speak a different language and EXPECT US to change!!!

Please STOP SUPPORTING ILLEGALS and supoprt your OWN people- The lawful hardworking citizens of the USA. The ones who need YOUR HELP in these tough economic times.

You are a traitor to your country proposing Amnesty.

What about the 280 million Americans that are citizens?

Do you think the American people are stupid?

I could not believe my eyes and ears yesterday when you proclaimed that you had a bill that was strong on enforcement. What part of Amnesty do you not understand?

80% of the American people oppose the kind of Bill you proposed. Where is the enforcement that you proudly proclaimed?

Why are you supporting a bill to give Illegal Free college instate tuition?

The American people are tired of the empty promises and want our Immigration Laws enforced.

No Amnesty No phony Guest Worker Programs

Put the National Guard on the border.
Build the Fence
Fine Employers that hire Illegals
Cut off Social Services for Illegals

I have barraged his office with emails each week, just to make a point that american citizens will not tolerate his liberal view of amnesty to get votes

I just sent the good Senator my thoughts on his vile hypocritical, lying proposal for a "fair and just" immigration plan. The old drunk needs to
put away his bottle and listen to the American people!!!!!

I sent him an email and told him that he's out of touch with the American people. I also told him that he'd gonna need a job, soon! I suggested the $50 an hour lettuce picking job working for McCain

NO WE'RE NOT!!!

At one time, America had a proud 'immigrant' past -- but that was dishonored by the Senate, the President and all those that have illegally entered OUR country and have no respect for our laws or those IMMIGRANTS that enter our country legally.

If these illegals are so brazen as to protests in our streets while 'illegally' here, what would they do if they were legal and didn't agree with the laws of our states and our country? -- would they resort to the riots in L.A.

Well he just got an eye ball full from me as well.

I am so sick to death of the blatent propaganda being put out. With the internet, how long do they really think they can get away with this? They really have gone stupid with the unlimited and unchallenged power the American people have given them!
