McCain is wrong on immigration

Mar 23, 2008

When I heard that John McCain had similar views to Hillary Clinton about immigration in the United States, I couldn't have been any more upset. Though I stand by my fellow Republicans, he is more liberal than I ever thought on this topic.

I still believe we should raise the money to strengthen our border patrol. Illegal immigrants are corrupting America's health-care system and destroying our working class, and are still a concern of national security.

What really makes me mad is that we pay for the education of illegal immigrants. How is this right when many Americans are struggling to pay for their children's college education?

It's not. They are here because they jumped our border and thought they would be able to get away with it. This is a major reasons why our country has such a bad economy right now. They need to respect our laws and not enter our country.

If McCain thinks he has the right view on immigration, he needs to look at the heart of Americas' problems and reconsider.
