And people are clamoring that more republicans in Congress and one in the WH will make things right for Mr. and Ms. America. Yeah, right. More republicans or democrats and kiss America off! I have been trying to tell people for three years that republicans were anti-middle class. What more do you need to concede that much?

And you would think that someone like Michele Bachmann might actually have a handle on what to do, so that actual taxpayers don't have to make up the difference! Oh yeah right---she's off on some anti dinosaur crusade!

On the other side the Republicans keep yammering on about "veterans" this or that. Always about the "veterans." Hey, the VietNam War was a total joke, and why would we want to blow apart a country that we need NOW for a containment partner against China? And then they figured Iraq would just fall over----and now there are one million dead, four million refugees flooding Europe, Christians being driven out or slaughtered and militants spreading all over the Arab world.

Both of these major weirdo groups also get millions of religious devotees supporting their buffonery! I want out of here to where people know they have to choose right, or their country goes down the TUBES!!
I love Trump on immigration and trade, but I wish instead of "tweeking" the existing failed income tax system, he would support the FairTax. I think he will eventually, but I wish he would just come out with it now, so it can be debated, people informed about it, it's proponents and opponents given air-time to discuss the pros (many) cons (none but lies), and give the people a chance to express their support for it because it solves so many major problems and helps solve many others.

FairTax Act of 2015: HR 25 in the US House of Representatives and S 155 in the US Senate.

I don't think that either is pro middle class and that explains why the populous is shunning professional politicians of both parties. But if you think Obama dragged this country down elect a hard core socialist/communist and it will be over. Socialist are not my cup of tea. I personally saw what 50 years of communism did for Russia and the Ukraine in 1991. The elite Politburo lived like kings and queens and the rest of the people live like rabbits in hutches.

I think that the problem is that we have allowed them to make being a politician a lifetime endeavor. Regardless of party, they have been together in the "club" in DC for too long and have adapted to their expectation of entitlement. This is what happens when a bunch of lawyers run the country. All they want to do is run to court to litigate and then go out for drinks later and slap each other on the back. I don't see a lot of amending of the existing legislation to make it work. Instead of doing the legal housecleaning, they just keep making more laws until the there are so many that the average citizen is being legislated to death.

I see the first big misstep as the GI Bill. Intentions were good---but it started us transitioning from crafts people to service people----and the latter will not really make it without more crafts people migrating to the country. And today when a locality has to embark on a big infrastructure project----there is no more wide open spaces. You're going to be a target for litigators.

S--t! Can't you see they were anti-middle class when GWB told the UN to get out of Iraq and then we marched in and REALLY tore up the place? Or at least the power structure caved in and the zealots went to work killing people? I never believed in that, though nearly every 'conservative" I knew somehow did; the UN could have put together a bunch of commandos from all parts of the world---or just Muslim parts if they wanted----and started enforcing human rights issues. You will always find people in armies that seem to want to get killed.

I was referring to the three years that I've been a member here. I have been anti republican since Kevin was killed by Reagan's blunder, and that will not change.

Judy, the republican party has for my entire lifetime has been pro business, pro big money and pro C of C.

It seems that people have forgotten that Clinton left us in fair financial shape and improving. Took Bush a VERY short time to change that. No one was bitching about economic times in 2000, just morality in the WH. Clinton demonstrated clearly how to make America fiscally content. Let the poor people have a few discretionary spending dollars left at the end of the month. Business was content to wrest those dollars away from the poor. Very little , if any, complaining about money from the rich or the poor! Has anyone ever bettered that?
