I never blamed Russia for using Cuba as a missile site. Russia was terrified of our nuclear arsenal after WWII. We are the only nation on earth to ever use these weapons on this earth. We couldn't allow it of course, but that doesn't make Russia an enemy trying to devise a method to protect themselves against US.

Russia had obligations to North Vietnam and North Korea, the same as we had to South Vietnam and South Korea. North Vietnam and North Korea were both part of the Russia sphere after WWII, the same as South Vietnam and South Korea were in ours. It's how everything was divided up at the end of WWII. North Vietnam wanted to reunify Vietnam, just as North Korea wanted to reunify South Korea, but the US prevented it. We kept families trapped in separately created countries from each other for 60 years.

We thought we were fighting for "freedom", but we were actually sustaining "separatism" of the countries we had divided. Vietnam took its own action to unify Vietnam and prevailed. North and South Korea continue divided despite most of the population wanting to be re-unified in some way.

So there is no reason to blame Russia or call them an enemy for simply holding up its own bargains and agreements with the countries it was handed sphere of influence over and the responsibility that goes with that, after WWII.

Russia has never been our enemy. Has it been on opposite sides of conflicts in other countries? Sure, they could claim the same about US, yet they are decent enough never to have done so.

Americans have to wake up to the hard reality that for many decades our foreign policies haven't been as honest as they should have been. They may have been the right things to do, time will tell, but they were not honest. When you have to lie and deceive to cajole public support for a policy that usually involves war fought by Americans at our expense both in lives, wounded and money, there's a good chance it may have been wrong-headed from the outset.

Trump wants to stop all that. It's a tall order. But if anyone can turn this around, I believe he has what it takes to do that, so we should support him 100% to establish a new and improved relationship with Russia. There are many factions who profit and benefit from this divide between the US and Russia, there are a lot of governments who ride the wave of this divide and exploit it. I think both Trump and Putin would like to make changes to some of that. This will all hopefully become more clear when conversations begin between Trump and Putin, and it's a goal I'm really very excited about. I would love to see a much more normalized relationship with Russia. If it can be done, it will be a wonderful thing for our country, Russia and the world.

Well, gosh, I wish-post one minute, Trump delivers the next.

Trump administration looks to divide Russia's relations with Iran

Published February 06, 2017 The Wall Street Journal

The Trump administration is exploring ways to break Russia’s military and diplomatic alliance with Iran in a bid to both end the Syrian conflict and bolster the fight against Islamic State, said senior administration, European and Arab officials involved in the policy discussions.

The emerging strategy seeks to reconcile President Donald Trump’s seemingly contradictory vows to improve relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and to aggressively challenge the military presence of Iran—one of Moscow’s most critical allies—in the Middle East, these officials say.

A senior administration official said the White House doesn’t have any illusions about Russia or see Mr. Putin as a “choir boy,” despite further conciliatory statements from Mr. Trump about the Russian leader over the weekend. But the official said that the administration doesn’t view Russia as the same existential threat that the Soviet Union posed to the U.S. during the Cold War and that Mr. Trump was committed to constraining Iran.

Such a strategy doesn’t entirely explain the mixed signals Mr. Trump and his circle have sent regarding Moscow, which have unnerved U.S. allies and caught Republican leaders in Congress off guard.

Mr. Trump himself spoke again about wanting to mend relations with Mr. Putin in an interview that aired before Sunday’s Super Bowl, saying “it’s better to get along with Russia than not.” After Fox News host Bill O’Reilly said Mr. Putin was a “killer,” the president responded: “What, you think our country’s so innocent?”

But those involved in the latest policy discussions argue there is a specific focus on trying to drive a wedge between Russia and Iran.

The Kremlin has said it aims to mend ties with the U.S. under the Trump administration but in recent months has also signaled its intent to continue to build on its cooperation with Iran.

Moscow and Tehran have formed a tight military alliance in Syria in recent years. The Kremlin is a major supplier of weapons systems and nuclear equipment to Iran.

Iran is just one of many bad factions that exploit the divide between the United States and Russia. The corrupt media is so stupid and biased that it eternally misses the forest for the trees. There are probably 20 of these situations that Russia can help US solve to our mutual benefit and make the world a safer terrorist free world again. Iran will benefit also. Terrorism sponsoring costs a lot of money and I'm sure the majority of the Iranian population would like to see this brought to an early end. Russians have no tolerance at all for these wacko-bird terrorists so I'm sure they would like to stop having to do business with Iran while they're engaging in such and causing all this outrageous migration from the middle east. Russia wants no part of this type of immigration, they aren't big on immigration of any kind to begin with. They have a fragile situation, limited population is a key to their survival because of the limited human resources in Russia, food for example. Russia has a lot of natural resources, you just can't eat them.

I'm not suggesting that Russia cut ties with Iran. Iran needs friends, the people of Iran need friends and Iran and Russia have a long historical relationship that goes back hundreds of years, but because of that relationship, Russia has enormous influence with Iran. That's a good thing, if Russia aligns with US to stop the terrorism and nuclear proliferation. This will be a Gold Medal for Trump in foreign policy. And then he marches on with China on North Korea. And barrels into Israel and settles that mess.

Trump can actually do this stuff, because he's smart, he knows the components of the issues, he doesn't profit from the status quo, he wants solutions to these problems, not their perpetuation. Trump even wants to end nuclear weapons for everyone. They're dangerous, they're expensive, and using them isn't even a possibility today by anyone, so why have them? Everyone wants them and many have them because yes, we have them. It's considered prestigious to have them, it's considered a source of power, to be in the Nuclear Club. All these stupid countries worried about "carbon footprints" with nuclear weapons all around the globe. Stupid.

Trump knows the priorities of common sense and game plans to solve problems. Everyone just needs to trust him, support him, and let him do his thing. If anyone else knew any more than he does about any of it, they would have already solved the problems long ago.
