    Focus on the Employers

Its my belief that some form of a guest worker program will pass and get signed by the President. This is something we must prepare for! Those 11 - 20 milllion lawbreakers will remain.

What we can do today and going forward is chose not to spend our monies with employers that hire these lawbreakers. Personally, I live in Houston and have sworn off Mexican food (80% of the restaurants are Mexican or TexMex). And, refusing to purchase from stores where the employees do not speak English.

This may seem like a small gesture but I have to start somewhere. I see the squeeze on both sides..the traditionally white collar jobs (IT, Customer Servicer Reps, etc) are now outsourced (I know this pain personally) and the blue collar/less skilled jobs are now for illegals only. Yet, everyday we hear about another company laying off workers. Perhaps those displaced workers would not mind construction work, restaurant work etc.

What do you tell your native born American children? How should they prepare for the future?

    Hey, Houston, NE Texas here.

I think you are 100% right! The politicians are going to do nothing about this - they are going to sell us out. They have just been 'electioneering' these last weeks. They have had years to do something.

My idea - we should find any and every way to use our money to make it work for our families and our country.

I have been suggesting that we boycott industry by industry. My idea is take the poultry industry first. That is because I am familiar with that and the harm it has done.

If we just don't buy any pou;try product for a while a month, two months, depending on how many we can enlist. That will make a difference.

If we just focus on one poultry company, the illegals will just go to another company. Also, I don't know if we can actually find out all the various names they market products under. We could target their main name, and they could just use the wrappers from their other companies.

If we can get the poultry industry's attention, then we can move on to another - like beef or pork - or the restaurant industry.

If we target an entire industry, the boycott would not take as long to get something done - and those innocents involved would be hurt less. WE don't want to destroy - just get their attention.

If the employers don't have our money, they can't provide jobs. If the illegals don't have jobs, they will voluntarily go home.

While I don't think the illegals have any better work ethics than Americans do - they do come here to make money. The welfare is just icing on the cake - I don't think most of them want to just live off welfare.

It might be slow and take some time to get the first boycott going - but if we can do this - the next one will not take as long.

    Your thoughts??

I have decided to keep ICE and the IRS busy. I have turned in 5 businesses that I KNOW hires illegals today, and I am actively going shopping tomorrow with a camera.
I am going to troll the Loaf and Jug and Home depot in the morning, and hit the fast food places the rest of the day. Sunday I am going to the Walmarts to start taking pictures. Discussion groups are OK, but I need to something constructive, proactive and legal.
I know of one meat processing plant in Glendale AZ that has so many health violations for bacteria I have a page two in the report. I also know that they provide mocked up 1099's so that their people can buy houses, using SS#'s that don't exist. I plan to look for every business I can find and report them.
I am tired of all of this crap about jobs Americans won't do. If our elected officials are serious about going after employers - then I want to point them in the right direction. The area is target rich.

I would like to invite you all to come over to the new Boycott site to add your information to what we already are assembling from known sources.

Please remember we must use the word "alleged" when posting information about companies "alleged" law-breaking activities. yeah, I know it stinks! but remembr that EVERY letter of the law applies to us peons - only big companies can break the law with impunity.

nntrixie, I like your idea about Boycotting one industry - and the chicken industry would be as good and easy a start as any.

Would you like to get a petition started on it to raise awareness? Then we could spread the petition around to different sites? I think that might be a good way to get it advertised widely.

I have the petition submission forms over on the Boycott board, if you'd like to join in the "Boycott Think Tank" over there.

With the looming bird flu epedemic, and the fact that 44 illegal pluckers tested positive for TB, chicken hasn't been on my list much anyway. I think all of the chicken companies are using illegals. A boycott of the chicken industry sounds like a no brainer.

    Houston, welcome!

I'm in El Paso. I get to greet them when the come across on this side of the state and nobody stops them because we don't have enough border patrol and aren't likely to have enough in the next ten years. We need soldiers on the border and a wall!

I agree that we are going to wind up with a compromise. I think that we now have to fight for just how much we are WILLING to compromise. That is, if war doesn't break out this week end when the opposing groups collide.

I'm writing to my senators to suggest that they get the process started NOW-- CRC's, medical checks so the people working in our restaurants don't give anyone else tuberculosis, and deportations for anyone with a record.

As fo the guest worker passes, they should be allowed to workers who have a job (and I like tht 45 day provision) to be monitored a hell of a lot move often than every six years! If they bring families for us to support, it should be considered a violation and they lose their right to be here. If they get pregnant, adios Mama, or Umm, or Madre, or whatever other names mean mother in foreign languages.

And the anchor baby deal has to come to a screeching halt with provisions made for the current anchor babies to be deported with their parents and stipped of citizenship when they go so that they can't run across the border 15 years from now claiming US Citizenship. Many of the anchor baby mothers don't work-- they are living off our tax dollars that take care of their kids!

Just some thoughts that have been running through my head to keep me rational enough not to swat someone in the grocery store next time I get up the nerve to go.

The pro-illegal propaganda piece stating that the economy would be badly affected if we were to make felons out of the illegals and then deport them has a big hole in it.

Any Congressperson or Senator that claims this is putting the economy before our laws.

Well, Rockfish, some of the countries where the illegals came from won't LET the people back in. China for one. So what do you propse we do with those people?

I'm all for shipping the strays to Antartica or something but you and I both know that isn't going to happen.

Yes, most of the theory that we can't do without these workers is bogus in that there are plenty of people waiting in line to come legally to replace them after they jobs are offered to Americans. Any jobs left over, give to the guest workers.

I don't think it is going to hurt us as much as it will help us to get their blood sucking families out of here and only let in workers for specific jobs if we let anyone at all.

OMG!!! I had no idea, I've been gone too long . . . this campaign sounds like a good one for Lou Dobbs -- he appears to be the "commander in chief" or the voice of the American people against this illegal invasion
