Thread: Mexico-U.S. Relations Deteriorating

A number of U.S. troops DO participate in drug smuggling. I don't know the statistics, but if one, or an occasional drug run across the border by rogue U.S. troops shouldn't be unbelievable. Mexico's crap shouldn't be believed though.


Mexico's cover stories for this incident are laughable indeed. The fact that would even put out this crap (and have it be readily consumed by the world's media) is pathetic.
Perhaps it reflects on this administrations failed propaganda (not neccessarily false) efforts, on ANY front. A real leader would have come out and DEMANDED a list of concessions for Mexico to make. With the threat of a sealed border, and a freeze on any money transfers to Mexico.

Seriously. IT IS HIGH TIME that the President come out and say this.

He can no longer continue to bypass what he MUST come out and SAY.
Lately I've had an opportunity to listen to a lot of Americans calling into radio stations and discussing ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. I have been very surprised at how OUTRAGED the people are.

If George Bush gives the American people another song and a dance during the State of the Union Address regarding ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, he is going to make A LOT of Americans EXTREMELY ANGRY.

The people are FED UP. Totally.

THE PEOPLE ARE ON TO HIM. His "just good people", his "temporary worker program to ease the pressure on the borders", "his "family values don't stop at the Rio Grande".......It's not going to work ANYMORE.

Yes, I am aware of that. But it is individuals, not units. And the news makes it sound like they are the ones with the Humvees shooting at the border patrol. The rumor mill. People believe that stuff. That is why it disturbs me. Some don't realize how much harm the news does by telling half the story, spreading rumors and propaganda.

If you think things are tense right now, wait until our " not-so-intelligent" intelligence department discovers the 200 give or take some tunnels under the US-Mexico Border. I am thinking of starting a business in dismantling tunnels. I know there is going to be a lot of work in that field. How can somebody dig a tunnel that big and no authority able to spot such actions. I refuse to believe the mexican government is that corrupt. But then again, I have to face to the real facts. We are in trouble. We need our soldiers to get back from Iraq and start the monumental task of securing our borders with our newly discovered enemy.
