Brilliant Cartoon Illustrates What U.S. Map Would Look Like if Electoral College Were Abolished

Because they lost an election and are butthurt, progressive leftist Democrats from the same party who use “Super Delegates” are fundraising off the idea of eliminating the Electoral College — the method in which presidents have been elected since the Constitutional Convention of 1787.

There are so many reasons for the Electoral College, one being that the U.S. is a republic, not a democracy where mobs rule. Another reason for the Electoral College, our brilliant Founding Fathers knew that highly populated cities and states would make the votes of those in lesser populated areas nearly irrelevant.

This phenomenon is perfectly illustrated by the great award-winning conservative cartoonist Michael Ramirez, who published in The Daily Signal a virtual map of what the country might look like under the scenario of the Electoral College — the Left’s latest pipedream to turn America on its head — being eliminated:



In other words, presidential races would be determined almost entirely based upon the votes in the most populous states in the union, California, Texas, Florida, and New York, and the other states would become insignificant in the process.

Oddly, there was no call to abolish the Electoral College before the election, but now that they’ve lost, Democrats are crying foul. However, this week progressive leftist Senator Barbara Boxer from California introduced a bill to eliminate the time-honored Electoral College because, you see, she’s smarter than our Founding Fathers, don’t you know?
