Treason by any other name is still the same
KickEmOut, what else can conspiring with a corrupt foreign government to violate our domestic border security and actively thwart the enforcement of federal immigration laws at every level during wartime be called? If this were Clinton we were talking about, there would be no hesitation whatsoever on the behalf of republicans or conservatives to label this, and rightly so, as despicable and undeniable treason. Clearly the filthy political elite class in Washington has both no concept of the rule of law they were elected to serve and preserve, but also seek to emulate the massively corrupt and lawless despotic cesspools third world dictators enjoy in absolute power based on the belief that we will not revolt and overthrow them either politically or otherwise. In my opinion, there are many in elected office that would prefer to bypass the laws of the US, the Constitution, and legal elections altogether and legislate themselves permanency in political office through overt lawbreaking and bestowing critical voting rights on illegal and ineligible aliens. Again, if this isn't treason what the hell is?

I'm no lawyer, but the problem with the treason argument seems to me to be if you look at those definitions, it defines treason as helping the enemies of the U.S. government. Mexico is not an enemy of the U.S. government. Mexico may be an enemy of the people of the USA and the sovereignty of the U.S.'s border and may unofficially and secretly be an enemy of the U.S. government, but Mexico is currently counted as a friend and ally of the U.S. government. The U.S. government certainly doesn't see Mexico as an enemy. So helping Mexico is by definition not treason. But hey, like I said, I'm no lawyer and maybe I'm wrong.
