Mike Huckabee still lies about his adopted tax plan!

Make no mistake, the tax plan promoted by Huckabee makes no attempt to remove from Congress’s powers the power to lay and collect taxes calculated from profits, gains, salaries and other incomes. Here is the TEXT OF H.R.25 for those who have been conned by Huckabee into believing he really intends to remove this power from Congress’s taxing powers.

What Huckabee’s adopted plan really proposes to do is to create an additional tax for Mary and Joe Sixpack to pay ___ a 23 percent tax calculated from the sale of Mary and Joe’s property, real and personal ___ while keeping alive Congress’s power to lay and collect taxes calculated from profits, gains, salaries and other incomes.

It is interesting to note that Huckabee who tells his followers the IRS would be closed down under his adopted tax plan, but fails to tell them two new federal tax collecting agencies would be created:

    302. ADMINISTRATION OF OTHER FEDERAL TAXES.
    (a) In General- Section 7801 (relating to the authority of the Department of the Treasury) is amended by adding at the end the following:
`(d) Excise Tax Bureau- There shall be in the Department of the Treasury an Excise Tax Bureau to administer those excise taxes not administered by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
`(e) Sales Tax Bureau- There shall be in the Department of the Treasury a Sales Tax Bureau to administer the national sales tax in those States where it is required pursuant to section 404, and to discharge other Federal duties and powers relating to the national sales tax (including those required by sections 402, 403, and 405). The Office of Revenue Allocation shall be within the Sales Tax Bureau.'

The Excise Tax Bureau will be there to collect a variety of existing excise taxes which are not ended under the Huckabee plan, and also be there to collect any new excise taxes Congress may dream up such as a federal excise tax on specifically named articles of luxury which may include boats, cars, jewelry, aircraft, etc., as was done in 1990. This tax, if laid, would be a surtax and added on top of Huckabee’s supported 23 percent tax!

And then there are a variety of other excise taxes which may be laid, many of which may be calculated from profits, gains, salaries and other incomes which involve the same misery of income taxation even though they are excise taxes. And, the above mentioned taxes do not even take into account the tax enforcers who will still be operating under the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms!

But let us look at how Mary and Joe Sixpack will be affected by Huckabee’s adopted tax plan.

Well, Mary and Joe have two little children and find it necessary to earn extra money to pay the bills. Mary baby sits for neighbors in the community while Joe, who works for a pluming company, his regular full-time job, also provides the same service on his own time to friends and neighbors for fair market value compensation. Surprise, surprise! Under Huckabee’s alleged fair tax which promises to close down the IRS and end its misery, Mary and Joe will experience the same exact type of misery suffered under “income taxationâ€

The best way to reduce taxes, is for the govt. to reduce spending.
Unfortunately, Bush has spent more than enough for our generation and the next two. His most recent budget is three TRILLION. I bet it doesn't even pay for the war. He has one hell of an expense account, to put an entire war on it. My kids and grandchildren will be paying for this war.

Of course he doesn't care about the strength of the dollar. If it becomes worthless, we are forced to change to the Amero.
