It was Pence's attempt at making a compromise with the left. It was a plan that he laid out publicly, a suggestion if you will, not an actual piece of legislation that he filed. For the record, I'm not attempting to defend Pence. Basically just saying it's something we'll have to live with.

I like that Mr. Pence is a social conservative. It is his past attempt to push the idea of touch back amnesty that we here at Alipac rejected and that would give us pause in his selection as VP. He is not however the presidential nominee and if Donald Trump puts the right people in the right positions it won't matter what ideas Governor Pence once pushed on amnesty. Governor Pence will be expected to support the Trump immigration plan.

Yep, and as I mentioned in another thread, the fact that they have or are thinking the same on the issue of a quick return is very concerning. Of course we all know "rapidly" means going to the front of the line.

I'm seeing a lot of "A's" on this report card.

But an F on "unnecessary worker visas" is not good. At least he's great on everything else and perhaps he's learned his lesson on the excess visa crap where his big donor buddies use the visas to hire foreign workers, fire American workers, and force the Americans to train their foreign replacements. This is a sin that is not easily dismissed or forgiven. How will he explain that in a debate??!!

A terrible choice by Trump. And Trump knows it. Manafort and perhaps his family shoved this "party unity" crap too far. In a general election no one cares about "party unity". More Republicans are going to vote for Donald Trump than any Republican candidate in the history of the United States. What we need to win are independents and democrats. How do you explain to them that your VP is a free trade sucking ass wipe who has supported every single bad free trade deal since he's been in politics??!! How do you explain that? We're putting the enemy in number 2 spot for "party unity"?? A 2 year old wouldn't buy that Popsicle.
