Voting records reveal that several stars of the Broadway musical Hamilton haven’t voted in past elections, despite having lectured Vice President-elect Mike Pence about how the Donald Trump administration’s policies might negatively affect their lives.

Brandon Victor Dixon, the 35-year-old actor who plays Aaron Burr, lectured Pence from the Broadway stage Friday night, expressing fear that the Trump administration “will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights.”

However, Dixon didn’t vote in 2012, according to the Daily Mail. Voting records for 2016 are not yet available.

Javier Munoz, the actor who plays Alexander Hamilton, hasn’t voted since the midterm elections in 2006.

Seth Stewart, who plays Thomas Jefferson in the 11-time Tony-winning musical, voted in 2008 but did not cast a vote in 2012. Okieriete Onaodowan, who plays James Madison, has been a registered voter since 2005 but has no record of voting.

The rant from Dixon prompted President-elect Trump to demand an apology from the cast and the popular Broadway show.

“The Theater must always be a safe and special place.The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!” Trump tweeted Saturday.

Dixon appeared on CBS This Morning on Monday and said he and the Hamilton cast had nothing to apologize for” after the incident. He added that both Trump and Pence are “welcome” to come backstage and have a conversation about the concerns the cast addressed in the now-viral rant.

While #BoycottHamilton became a top trend on social media over the weekend, Pence says he wasn’t offended by what Dixon and the cast had to say.

Before Brandon Victor Dixon lectured Mike Pence at the theater, he made degrading remarks about women

By now we have all heard about the statement to Vice President-Elect Mike Pence as he attended the musical “Hamilton” last Friday night.

Actor Brandon Victor Dixon, who plays Aaron Burr in the hit Broadway production, took the stage to let Pence know that the cast, crew, and many of the booing audience were nervous about the incoming administration’s plans for protecting them.

“We, sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us — our planet, our children, our parents — or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir,” said Dixon at the curtain call, addressing Pence as he and his family were making their way out of the theater (to Pence’s credit, he paused to hear the message).

“But we truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us. All of us,” added Dixon from the stage.

Soon, the hashtag #BoycottHamilton engulfed Twitter, with many people condemning the unprecedented move by the “Hamilton” cast.


While the speech may not have any impact on ticket sales (liberals will gobble them up for exorbitant costs) — one might wonder how audience members would feel knowing that the “spokesman” for the cast and crew of “Hamilton” has no problem with saying women can be taken advantage of when in a vulnerable state.

Dixon was none too concerned with protecting “all of us” on Saint Patrick’s Day back in 2012. In a tweet, Dixon callously stated that the Irish holiday is “like Christmas for black dudes who like white chicks.”

The holiday is often met with heightened levels of inebriation from revelers — so Dixon was essentially calling for open season on women in that situation.

Two other questionable tweets have surfaced. In one, Dixon refers grossly to "ho's" having sex with football players. And in another, he retweeted a comment about having sex with white suburban married women after hearing racist Trayvon Martin remarks.

In addition to the tweet, RadarOnline reports that several of the "Hamilton" stars haven't bothered to vote in recent elections. (Records aren't available for 2016 at this point.)

Dixon didn't vote in the 2012 election. Javier Muñoz, who plays the title role of Hamilton, registered to vote in 2006, and voted that year, but hasn't since. Seth Stewart, who plays Thomas Jefferson, voted in 2008, but not in 2012.

For a party and movement predicated above all else on protecting women, it certainly seems as though the liberal social justice warriors are falling back on their "do as we say, not as we do" mantra.

The Left is holding up Dixon and his cast mates as heroes for their statement to Pence, who has seemed far less bothered by it than everyone in the media. The vice president-elect took the high road after the incident, telling Fox News that when he first heard the booing as he entered the theater, "I nudged my kids and reminded them that's what freedom sounds like."
