Mike Tyson: Trump Shows Me Respect…’Barack Wouldn’t Do That’

Posted By Kaitlan Collins On 2:27 PM 01/21/2016

Mike Tyson is supporting Donald Trump because he shows him respect — something Tyson said no other politician has ever done.

During an interview with the Daily Beast, the 49-year-old confirmed that he’s voting for the Republican front-runner.

“Yeah! Hell yeah,” Tyson said. “That shit is the real deal. Listen: I’m a black mother****er from the poorest town in the country. I’ve been through a lot in life. And I know him. When I see him, he shakes my hand and respects my family. None of them—Barack, whoever—nobody else does that. They’re gonna be who they are and disregard me, my family.”

“So I’m voting for him. If I can get 20,000 people or more to vote for him, I’m gonna do it.”

Tyson said he’s been friends with Trump for years.

“We’re really good friends,” he added. “We go back to ’86, ’87. Most of my successful and best fights were at Trump’s hotels. He didn’t manage me, though. He was just helping me with my court case.”

“We’re the same guy,” he continued. “A thrust for power, a drive for power. Whatever field we’re in, we need power in that field. That’s just who we are.”

But the former boxer, who converted to Islam when he was in prison, said he doesn’t think Trump’s temporary ban on Muslims will happen.

“He’s just not gonna do that. Congress just won’t do that. But that doesn’t mean he can’t be president, you know what I mean?”

Mike Tyson isn't exactly a glowing endorsement.

    - Tyson served a one-year sentence for assaulting two motorists.
    - Tyson received a 6-year prison term for rape.
    - In 1997, Tyson incurred public scorn when, in a boxing match, he bit of part of Holyfield's ear.
    - Filed bankruptcy in 2003.
    - Is a self-admitted alcoholic and drug addict.

There's a lot of Americans who like Mike Tyson despite his past troubles. Knocking him down is not going to raise up Cruz, if that was your goal.

My comments has absolutely nothing to do with Cruz .... it has to do with Mike Tyson. The man is a confirmed thug and his endorsement shouldn't be something any candidate should seek, appreciate, or want.

Mike Tyson is an American Citizen and has as much right as you to speak his mind, support a candidate and rally votes from others to do likewise.

Whatever, he's still a low-life thug rapist and there is nothing you can say to change that fact!
