One of my sons spent a few weeks in Germany about 3 years ago, and reported that American-themed T-shirts and gear had a following of fans among the youth. Especially hip-hop stuff, but he was amused at the sight, because he said that when local merchants went to imitate, they often were a little 'off.'

My in-laws arrived in N.C. from Belgium this past Monday and they tell me that Obama is very popular in Europe. Europeans are keeping up with the elections, and for the most part John McCain is very unpopular, much like George Bush.

Lets have some real straight talk, the only reason Euro's like Obama is because they know he will weaken america's resolve, military and culture. I have one and it is not considered a "firearm." It's really a BB pistol.

The man was not shot with a fire arm. The story states he had ball bearings removed, meaning he got shot with an air gun (BB gun). I think that the story about the wounds are more fluff than substance. A real fire arm is likely to cause severe damage to flesh and bone. He would not have been released from the hospital without an overnight stay to be observed for internal injuries. It is a story perhaps leading people to believe that in Britain, Obama supporters are in danger and the the evils of guns. This story comes from a country so leftist that much like America never really tell a straight story in the media, unless it meets some sort of liberal, socialist, or communist agenda. Britain, believe it or not want's to ban butter knives.
It is no exaggeration that an air gun can cause injury and the assailant is of questionable mental stability. It seems to me that if the assailant were to be set off by a tee shirt what would he do if he were cut off driving or if he is following someone he thought driving too slow?
This story is one more beat of a ceaseless liberal or socialist drum meant to convince the public at large of their immoral high ground.
