Thread: I Will Be Posting Freeway Signs July 4(Suggestions Welcome)

I'd imagine most are familiar with "Freeway Blogging" but just to be clear here is an example:



At about 5-6 pm July 4, I will be putting up signs on I-287 in New Jersey, a major interstate that leads to the Garden State Parkway that runs along the Shoreline of which millions will be coming or going for the entire week.

I have enough materials for about 4-6 signs or ~50 letters at 18 inches high. Therefore the messages need to be relatively short such as
"MEXICO ^ 1950 MI", "DEPORT ILLEGALS" or "FREE TRAITORS". According to the DOT, freeway signs are legal in the State of New Jersey with common sense guidelines.

I'm all ears until 3pm EST. Nothing too radical as I don't wish to spend the holiday



and get the special Ramos treatment.

I don't know if you have stencils, but this would look pretty good over the Garden State:



Or, you could use the New York ICE standby, i.e. a picture of the Statue of Liberty with the words "no trespassing" superimposed over her image.

Short and to the point is best. Remember people are driving fast and homemade signs are relativly small. You'll be competing with the RON PAUL sign blitz over the 4th of july "weekend".

Put the name of ALIPAC-with the website address-on the banners, regardless of what else you do.

You don't want to just get people's attention.

You want to give them an opportunity to access some more information about this subject when they commute home.

Wow, this is the first I've heard of freeway blogging. Any states have laws against this or what content goes up? All I've seen are like birthday wishes -this is very creative and sure will have a lot of people seeing it.
