KY: Ernesto Scorsone pandering response
Who do they really work for? You guessed it!
Feb.20,2007
Senator Scorsone,
As a citizen of Fayette County I would like to voice my extreme displeasure with your pending a bill offering a Driving Certificate for people that our in our country illegally. If this bill is passed, I will never vote for you again. I have supported you in the past, but anyone that provides further privileges to those that are already breaking our laws, is definitely not interested in supporting efforts to provide security for legal citizens.
I am very disappointed in your judgement on this issue.

sorry you feel that way.
Immigration status is something the federal folks deal with. What we can and need to deal with in Ky is a large number of people driving to work at local businesses without a license and without insurance.
Undocumented folks cannot get a drivers license and therefore cannot get insurance. That's not good for the rest of us.
Until the federal government resolves the immigration issues, lets at least make sure people have to take the driving test and have insurance. I see it as a safety issue.

model letter of reply
Senator Scorsone,
The way for the state to deal with violators of reasonable and duly enacted laws is certainly not to cater to illegal behavior. If this behavior is allowed to continue, our society will become just like the Central and Latin American societies from which these people are so eager to flee.
They are undocumented because they are breaking law. They are knowingly and willfully breaking the law. Not only are they breaking the federal immigration law; they are violating the state law by driving without a license.
They way to deal with such behavior is to pull over cars that are observed committing infranctions, and if the dirver does not have a license, arrest them and if reasonable, inquire into their immigration status. The state can work with ICE to verify the immigration status of arrested drivers, and turn them over for deportation if warranted."We have a sacred, noble obligation in this country to defend the rule
of law. Without rule of law, without democracy, without rule of law being
applied without fear or favor, there is no freedom."
Senator Chuck Schumer 6/11/2007

This is outrageous!! My e-mail I sent is below;
Senator; As a citizen of Kentucky who is very concerned about the illegal invasion of America,I hope you would reconsider your pending legislation regarding "driving certificates" for illegal criminal aliens. They have already broken our laws by coming here illegally, and for our state to reward them with driviing privileges is only encouraging more illegal activity.
As a regular voter in this state,I will be encouraging my representative to vote against a bill that encourages and aids illegal immigration in any way.The citizens of America and Kentucky deserve better representation than the introduction of bills that aid those who have ignored our laws.
I suggest you might propose a bill that allows law officers to establish citizenship status of all arrested criminals, and turn over illegal aliens to I.C.E.
Now there's a bill that the majority of loyal Kentuckians would support!b

This is something that I have mentioned many times in the past and the actions by this latino politician should come as no surprise.
Every latino politician is PRO-ILLEGAL.
Every____Single_______One.
It is just a fact of life and 'we' keep voting them into office?
They are always latino/mexican FIRST, Americans Second (if at all). This is racist in every sense of the word and is practiced on a daily basis by these politicians without reproach from anyone? Everyone is too PC to tell the truth.
Doesn't anyone besides me ever notice this?
I leave the check box next to any latino politician blank for this very reason.
Calling it a safety issue is a good cover to protect his true purpose which is to back anyone latino and any issue latino."There's no such thing as ILLEGALalien-able rights!" REGRESO E MEXICO !

I guess the Senator missed the article last week where the diplomat was killed on the PA Turnpike. The illegal alien truck driver was issued a CDL by KY. I'll send him a copy.

By requiring (as it should be by now already) law officers to determine
any body's legality in our country.

And more than a few of us are proud
and appreciative of him
down here in Texas.

Nomoremex,
Actually, I hadn't even thought that he might be Hispanic. I was thinking that he was Italian.
Anyway, he's obviously a dunce to think citizens actually believe his tripe!
