as most of you know by reading my dribble

Yeah the Aussie is writing his crap again lol. Well we have come to a part solution to overcome adversity at this stage. Looks like my wife is heading down under. To bloody good. Have full approval from the Senate here and Immigration. So the homework has started. Mate I cannot believe the process here compared to the US. Its really cheap here to finalise all the appropriate details and heve her come across and then a change of status. Now we in essence do have the same problem as the US its just not as covered here becasue Australians as yet havent felt the full impact. Nonehteless its a big problem, the difference is this. It is affordable here to come across when the marriage is absolute and the paperwork doesnt need to have a forest cut down to supply the shuffle across the desk of ducumentation. So this is going to be taken care of now. Also we have been approved id need be to travel to Canada where the same thing is apparent. Paperwork and funds are less than a quarter of what they are US side. Disspaointing to know that the legalities of everying comes down to money when doing things legit. So we have now got some positives to get us through until the red tapoe is done and dealt with ... damn fine i'm thinking lol Brian

    hey dixie...

Thanks for the best wishes Dixie ... I think the only two contries worth fighting for these days are Australia and the US. You decide to come across here Dixie and I'll even show you how to drink real beer lol. We can have a toast to the fact that our Countries are united and we all have the same wish...to live long and be blessed with family.

Congrats and hang in there, as we like to say here... though everytime I hear someone say it to me, I picture a noose--which I quickly shake away from my mind and remind myself that they're being encouraging. Trulies, persevere, never give up. We really, really should post a huge banner over every entry point: "This is just America -- for now. Act fast, we're filling up with people who don't "get it" and don't understand they will have to pitch in to keep America the country they came here for. We've never been able to deliver "fairness" but we do try harder than anyone else. Nothing is free or even low-cost, especially not for citizens. But if you're here illegally, breaking the law is routine for you, and you will have figured out how to work our systems to rob us blind AND make US feel guilty about it. But welcome, spend gobs!" No, you're right, it's too long. *sigh*

And in honor of Aussies, whom I like very much, I no longer say "no problem," I say "no worries." It's so much more accurate. There are still problems, I'm just not going to worry about them for the time being.

I once considered visiting your grand island, but the funnel spiders a'scared me too much.

    I aint going anywhere...

I'll be keeping in touch and letting everyone know whats going on. In amongst all of the bullshit that is Immigration and its flaws, there has to be some light shining from somewhere. besides ..you guys are Americans and I need to torment you all dammit. I dont think I have ever had more fun with anyone than I have with my Yank mates. I have laughed more and felt the warmth of family and friends in the US than i ever did in my own country. wether they are sledging me or i am giving them grief, wether it was my accent or my stupid humour ..it didnt matter .... We were and are mates and just from the responses i have had from people in here over the short time I have been in ... To bloody good to pass up. There is a kind of kinship between Americans and Aussies as we have accomplished a lot together. Even though a lot of Americans dont realise it, the goals that we as two countries have achieved is phenomenal. We are leaders in telecomunications, medicine, science on many levels and the war machine. DO NOT blame us for the crocodile hunter lol. We will get through thgis with honesty and integrity, and then when I get my arse home I'll be in New York buyin drinks for everyone whos game enough to roll up and take on an Aussie at the drinking game ... Good luck robins, check in on our board from time to time and let us know how you are doing. Remember this invasion that we are dealing with now may be coming to your neck of the woods as well. The good thing for your country is that you are very far away

    Brian,
I have been reading your posts on here and I wish you and your wife all the best.
I have always wanted to visit your country, it's on my things to do list before I die.
I am afraid that if things get too bad here in the States that you will be over run with Americans.
I would think about moving there but I don't know how much trouble it would be to take my rifle and 4X4 pick up truck.
Please do keep us posted on how things are going for you and if we ever get the chance I will show you how to drink some good Scots whisky.
    Best regards
