    This dude pisses me off!!!

For those not from northeast IL this is Rep. Gutierrez on the link. He is for " Comp. Immigration Reform." He does not agree with the fence on the border but does want a virtual fence on the border. Thats bull. Will a double layer fence alone prevent illegals from coming over? NO But along with more border patrols, lots of cameras new technology and a double layer fence that covers the WHOLE border illegal immigration would pretty much stop. The technology is also there. I love how him and others like him say that we can not secure the whole border. We put men in space we can afford billions a month for a war but we cant afford to secure our borders? Mr. Gutierrez is also the one visiting the illegal woman and her kid up in a sanctuary church in chicago. I have listened to him many times and am very concerned that his virtual fence is just another lie. Why is he so oppose to a fence? This is not the berlin wall it would be a fence dividing two contries not one. If Mexico could control their side of the border and stop telling their people to break into our country there would be no need for it. And yet Mexico is a good neighbor? Whats up with that? He is for the Human rights of illegals---OH sorry undocumented. He does not nore does he like illegals to be called illegals they are undocumented. They are americans according to him just without the papers just as I am an airline pilot and owner of several large companies-- I just dont have the documentation to prove it. So anyway if you live in Northeast IL Chicago Aurora Joliet this is the guy you need to keep a eye on. He has now been appointed "Chair of the Democratic Caucus Immigration Task Force." He is currently righting legislation to give citizenship to illegals that came here before 2006. The most concerning point with him in my opinion is again the boder.

I know exactly how you feel. I have never liked him. He was originally planning to run against Daley but I guess they kissed and made up. I'm sure they had a falling out about the sanctuary status of Chicago and Daley probably promised him that he would not fight Guiterrez if he didn't run against him.

The fence would work and they know it, that is why the OPPOSE it. Only open borders types oppose the fence. It has worked here in San Diego. The same success could be felt along the entire Southwest. I love how they say we can't afford it. The money we save on housing, clothing, feeding, medically treating, imprisoning, and schooling illegals would more than pay for the fence. Not to mention a toll on legal crossings.

OK, lets get real here. I live on the border and have seen the fence and yes it does help, the reason it works so well down in San Diego is because of all the people and building of new homes so the illegals simply moved east to where I live. I have seen this fence out here and ther are many places where they can crawl under it, and thanks to the inviromentalist they need to keep openings so wildlife can go back and fourth.
The fence does help in lots of ways but it will not replace eyes and ears out there.
I'm not against the fence but I want to let you know that it is not a cure all, they will still need people on the ground.

Are we referring to the same Guiterrez (Commerce Secretary) appointed by GWB? If so he is a disgrace to the United States of America.

Oh, I agree Dog. The fence just needs to be extended and updated. Yes, the smuggling and crime has moved east. If fact, the Arizona corridor has taken on a lot of the problems and is a virtual war-zone. It should be extended to the Gulf of Mexico. It needs to be a dual fence with BP operating in the middle and ground censors notifying BP of breachings of the southern fence. The success of the fence in San Diego can be felt all along the Southwestern frontier. Pat Buchanan gives basically a blue-print for the fence in State of Emergency.

What gets me about all theses airheads, how in the hell do they know the fence wont work when there was never a fence there to prove it.

When they think they know it all, it proves to me that they don`t know Mod Edit!

Cameras can be turned off whenever..they decide to no longer enforce..like right now. Virtual fencing means big freaking gapping holes.
