My Message to Democratic Senators
Dear Senator XXXXXXXXXXX,
It appears that the Obama Administration will continue its pressure on Arizona officials to recant on the implementation and enforcement of Arizona SB 1070 which is designed to allow local law enforcement personnel to enforce a law which identically mirrors long standing federal law on immigration.
Senator, did you know that Democratic Party officials in Arizona have also stated that many crimes in that state are soaring out of control?
Former AZ governor Janet Napolitano had stated :"I have fought border crime for the past 16 years in my posts as Governor, Attorney General, and U.S. Attorney in the border state of Arizona. I have hiked, driven, flown in a helicopter, and even ridden horseback over our southwest border. While border crimes are not new to those of us who are from border states, they are troubling,"
And: "kidnappings and weapons violations have risen in cities close to the border such as Phoenix,"

Elected officials in Arizona merely recognized that federal enforcement efforts had been inadequate to restrain criminal activity that has already been identified by federal agencies as the highest in the country.
The Federal Trade Commission has placed ID theft in Arizona at the very highest rate---at 149 complaints per 100,000 persons in 2008---of any state.

Other states in the Southwest, such as Nevada, California, Texas and Colorado and New Mexico were in the top 10 according to official FTC reports.
And according to Arizona AG Terry Goddard, a Democrat, in an official state government release:
"Dear Friends,
"Far too many Arizonans have been victims of identity theft. Repairing damage to your credit and reputation often requires considerable time and resources." http://www.azag.gov/cybercrime/ID_Theft.html
The Arizona AG, on its website, also stated recently that he had been asking for greater resources to combat border crimes:
"These decisions are extremely important in the fight against border crime as recommended in my letter to the President last month," Goddard said. "I have been calling for these actions for more than a year, and I'm pleased the Administration is listening." http://www.azag.gov/press_releases/may/ ... 25-10.html
Protecting a state's citizens from crimes is not a partisan issue. It is an issue of safety to its people and relieving the incredible burden to local taxpayers that any crime at all produces. And both Democrat and Republican elected officials in border states have recognized that more needs to be done. In fact Democrat Gov. Bill Richardson of NM stated this spring:
"“You’ve got to have more border security,â€"Men of low degree are vanity, Men of high degree are a lie. " David

Captainron take the Congress on a sailboat ride in the Caribbean, and this time do NOT help them escape the pirates or jail in Cuba!
Suppose you were an idiot and suppose you were a member of Congress. But I repeat myself.
