FAST!: Black American truth. Need to get the word out fast.

Sorry about the slight disengenuise title, need to get your attention.

Much of the "ommphff" we are missing in this anti-illegal immigration movement is the solid support of black america. Its the designs of the pro - illegal behaviour to promote this anti illegal movement as "racists" and an "anti - civil rights" things. Thus, they have effectively created the wedge.

We know this is just a ploy on their part AND incorrect.

We need to do the following and do if fast. How is the answer.

    1. Inform Black Churches the injustices of illegal immigration on black americans.
    2. How illegal amnesty will push black americans off the civil rights map
    3. How illegal immigration destroys jobs, lowers wages AND how with the influx of 20+million "new" citizens and their kin thru chain migration, will most certainly move black americans out of jobs, colleges etc...

Also, perhaps to inform these celebrities, who are trying to expand their audience, on the effects of illegal immigration.

I truly believe we need the black caucus and most of black america behind this movement to protect our borders and say no to amnesty. I feel the struggles of black america are being sold down the river to law breakers and johnny come lately's to benefit special intersets.

Any ideas on how we can do this?

Radio commercials on select radio stations?
    Sending pamphlets to churches?

    etc...???

    Lets brainstorm.

I know we have some black Americans, just as we do Hispanic Americans who can see the truth.....I just think when push comes to shove the numbers will say the majority in those groups don't see it and join with the attitude of it's all based on racism from the whites. It's only whitey who doesn't want illegals here, it's those rich whites who want more slave labor, it's those whites who stole our land......victims join with victims and some never want to face the truth or see where anything has a direct effect on them as long as they have someone else to blame. Who cares if whitey gets bumped for not speaking Spanish, coz they have to have the quota and can't add language to the mix because how are you going to prove it's not racism if you don't hire them? Or because of "demographics" since the object is to get rid of white positions and fill them with "minorites", it's no different than LaRaza and such demanding people get put not positions based on race, or some who feel we should "save seats" based on race. It will be fine as long as it's just whites being ousted. It won't come to light till he same rules start bumping and limiting them that they'll see it.

It is going to be the same way we have had to educate all other Americans.

The hardest sell on this would be those of Hispanic heritage. However, it is very true what you have said, that the OBL and the illegals are wanting to scoot in on the whole issue of civil rights, under the guise that being here illegally is some sort of civil rights issue (sure, it is the very same as not being able to sit at the same lunch counter as the white people....PLEASE).

Getting people to really see that and pay attention, is now going to be very hard, as right now many Americans are on a high from the inauguration of Americas first black president. It does need to be addressed, we have many instances where raids had opened up jobs and the majority of Americans to be first in line for those jobs were black Americans (in areas where unemployment was high as well).

The other group we really need to focus on is the twenty somethings. My daughter and niece included in that. They simply see it as an "older adult" thing (many listen to the more liberal media on it and assume it is about being prejudiced, thus they shy from it trying to be "multiculturally minded"), and it really is not as their own future depends on it.

You would be surprised Im in my 20's and feel the same about current issues as any Concerned American would be and 90% of people I know including my wife are sick of illegals doing what they want to us and our country! Plus I know a ton of people!

    AE,

Not only the Media but our entire educational system (well, almost) has enshrined new heroes and new histories for kids to learn. Christianity is evil, unless you are MLK, Jr.

I've been in this battle for more than 5 years. I have also done more than my share getting the word out to my fellow black Americans. I have not posted here for a while because I received and read more than a few not so kind comments that were racially prejudiced re: Obama. That is why I have refrained from posting here for a while.

While it may be an embedded trait that many of this board do not realize they have, it is there. In the past I have referred a few of my black friends to this board and after reading some of the things being said (particularly about Obama) they were shocked that I was a member here, and they decided that while they wanted to fight against illegal immigration, the statements of certain people on this forum made them realize that they didn't wish to support this forum.

It's not what you say, it's how you say it. If you want black members on this forum to help in the stand against illegal immigration, we have to feel like we are welcomed by our white counterparts. We don't want to feel used for our numbers or our race simply as a matter of convenience of achieving a goal. It would be much nicer and more amicable to feel welcomed here.

93Camaro, I am SO glad to hear that. My daughter and I had a "tiff" before Christmas about this very subject. She is 26 now and I am 41(42 in July, I know the math, yes I was VERY young).

She thinks I talk about illegal immigration way too much and am too critical of my illegal neighbors. Needless to say we went rounds, and nothing has been said about it since to me. Mom always has the last word, plus I had to tell her "someday you will see what it has done to this nation and you will regret not having spoken up when you should have".

I want to see people in this nation rise up TOGETHER against politicians that will not listen and special interest groups that attempt to sabotage the one thing we have together, our voices in unison. It seems to me that any of these groups seem to want to divide and conquer and keep us all separate, and from working together.

So when people like Rev. Wright, the neo-you-know-who and all else attempt to incite anger, hatred and fear of the other, we need to draw even closer together in spite of them and drown out their puny little small minded words.
