That is why I have refrained from posting here for a while.

While it may be an embedded trait that many of this board do not realize they have, it is there. In the past I have referred a few of my black friends to this board and after reading some of the things being said (particularly about Obama) they were shocked that I was a member here, and they decided that while they wanted to fight against illegal immigration, the statements of certain people on this forum made them realize that they didn't wish to support this forum.

It's not what you say, it's how you say it. If you want black members on this forum to help in the stand against illegal immigration, we have to feel like we are welcomed by our white counterparts. We don't want to feel used for our numbers or our race simply as a matter of convenience of achieving a goal. It would be much nicer and more amicable to feel welcomed here.
Please report racist comments and/or posts to the moderators. I'm caucasion and have reported what I thought were racist comments in the past. In every case the moderators edited or deleted the posts. My reports of racist comments were never ignored.
I've done that on several occasions. A few times they have been deleted, the last couple of times I was ignored. I was literally ganged up on and that is when I decided it was time to go because I felt trapped and helpless. When I first discovered ALIPAC this was a board/group of comrades and I felt part of the team.

As the population of posters grew, and when Obama announced his candidacy, the true colors of a lot of said posters emerged and it got racist and ugly. Unfortunately, deleting the posts doesn't delete the hatred and bigotry.

I still browse occasionally to read the stories but that has been the extent of my relationship with this site.

Thank you for listening and responding.

I haven't been a member of this group for long, but I've not seen any racist comments yet. I did not support Obama, but that doesn't make me a racist. If he was supported by blacks just because he was black, that would be just as racist as not supporting him because of the color of his skin. We don't have to like him because he's a black man any more than we had to like McCain because he's white. So, I guess what I'm saying is, if you just didn't like the fact that many of us didn't support Obama and consider that being racist, I wholeheartedly disagree.

I didn't support the white guy either. I supported Chuck Baldwin because of his integrity and lack of political corruption. I would have gladly supported Alan Keyes - because of his views, not his color.

I think Obama does a disservice to those blacks who support him, because the most needy of the black race are being displaced and denied more by illegals than any other group.

Its funny - if you do not support illegal invasion you are called a racist. But who are the biggest supporters? Corporate executives, media elitists and big bucks financiers. They are mostly white and without consciences. Who suffers the most? People of color.

I like what Obama says about restoring and supporting the middle class, but there is no logical way that can happen with free trade, off-shoring of factories, outsourcing of jobs and welcoming the illegal invasion. So then, it is only talk, like Bush said when he was elected that he would secure the borders and then did everything he could to insure that would not happen. For both of these men, it has nothing to do with race - its all about money.

    Well said GAPatriot!

I think overall, we have to make due, now that we have a liberal Dem in, but it had zero to do with his skin color, it was about his politics, as well as why I was against McCain.

He seems like a likable person, well spoken and even would be easy to get along with, but....he is controlled, in the very least, by the liberals in the senate and congress and that is what troubles me.

I didn't support him either. I've voted for 6 white presidents in my lifetime, so by your standards does that make me a reverse racist? You assume far too much.

IMHO, anyone white or black who votes for or does not vote for a candidate based solely upon race as opposed to voting the issues is a racist.

You have every right to disagree with me however, by your own admission you haven't been here that long. No disrespect intended but your comments are not my yardstick. I watched the change and evolution of this site. I also know what I experienced and how I was made to feel, it was painful to the degree that it drove me and several others away. It is not by accident that the few blacks that used to post here are here no longer. I have spoken with several of them and they expressed the same feelings that I have.

That being said, you misinterpreted my statement as it had nothing to do with people not voting for Obama, but about the racist vitriol being spewed about him be it fear of a black POTUS or simply because he IS BLACK.

I will not comment any further on this matter, I simply saw this post and wanted to express how I feel.

Best wishes to all of you.

This is most unfortunate to incriminate this website. Race became an issue during this campaign, not from President Obama, but from his associations - especially the Reverend Wright. And then he had that long press conference explaining race to everyone. And he threw his poor ailing Grandma under the bus which I felt was disrespectful.

That being said, to spend 20 years in a church led by Wright is a very troublesome fact for many people. Even Oprah left that church because her association would impact her audience.

But we are about illegal immigration, which crosses all racial lines. With our economy, we need all people working together more than ever before, or we won't have a country to fight for anymore.

Frankly, although I did not have a horse in this race, I wonder if John McCain would have betrayed us, as did Bush, under the mantra of free trade and global markets and destroyed our quality of life more than Obama would. The abortion issue is difficult for me, but they are being performed throughout Bush's presidency in spite of all his lip service.

Please do not go away, because if you study the effect of illegals (who really are racists) upon the black population, you have to agree that you have more friends on this site than people with whom you disagree. For instance, the areas of Los Angeles and New Orleans, historically black, are diminished since the illegals have taken over and made it difficult for long-time black residents to live in peace.

GAPatriot is right, we HAVE to stick together, or we will all lose what is ours. Somehow I have a strong feeling that the liberals, the socialists and the OBL special interest groups want us to fight amongst ourselves and not be able to work together against them.

United we stand, divided we fall.

That's fine. I just wanted to express how I feel as well. And I didn't assume anything; that was why I asked the questions...so as not to make an assumption. If you felt chased away or unwanted, that is very unfortunate.

I have no "fear" of a black POTUS, as long as he represnts all Americans. I simply didn't like his platform. Neither did I like McCains and I didn't vote for either one of them!

I wonder if any one that voted for macshame simply because he was the "lesser of two evils" feels sick to thier stomach after watching him and grahmesty kiss the liberals feet after the election?

I would have voted for a green toad for President if I knew it would better represent American citizens. The colour of ones skin should not be an issue although I think on both sides of the aisle we had people that voted for race.A person should take the time to learn what the candidates views are before they pull the lever.
We can't deport them all ? Just think of the fun we could have trying!
