National Retailers lobbying
Restrictions on Chinese Goods Will Have a Serious Impact on US Retailers
Trade with China faces an increasingly difficult political climate fueled by: the mounting US-China trade deficit; pegging of the Chinese currency against the US dollar at allegedly artificially low exchange rates; anti-dumping, safeguards, and other protectionist actions by US manufacturers to limit Chinese imports; and the controversy over “off shoring” of manufacturing and white collar jobs. With China a dominant foreign supplier of footwear, apparel, toys, furniture, consumer electronics, and housewares to the US market, any restrictions on Chinese goods will have a serious impact on US retailers.
In an on-going grassroots effort NRF has created a website to allow retailers to contact their lawmakers directly to address these concerns.

What a bunch of shinola!
I saw a documentary sometime in my endless channel flipping about how the stores have so many choices people don't know what the hell to buy anymore. So, if we had only American Brands in our stores, it would make it a lot easier for all of us.
