Sorry to rain on the parade here folks, but is this really a gain? Much of the community college system is geared towards job skills training and basic education. Unless I am mistaken, even those classes which overlap with degree programs can be taken individually simply by passing appropriate and required placement testing and designating audit or non-degree seeking student during the application process. Will the illegals still be permitted to fill available seats in those classes as I have been told? I am also reminded (and believe you have been quoted on this also W) that unless someone voluntarily identifies themselves as "undocumented" during the brief application process they are in no way screened or investigated as to their legal status and enrolled. Essentially no one really knows exactly how many illegals already are attending for that reason. That is a don't ask - don't tell policy that leaves loopholes large enough to drive a semi through. Seems to me the Atty. General is only muddying the water here...
