Thread: They say think of the children I say NO MORE family visas!

Last Saturday at the big public downtown library in Dallas, TX, there was a seminar held by the local Catholic Charities group in English AND Spanish about immigration. The info on the bulletin said that this was an attempt to "outreach" to our Spanish community. Well, the linguistic catering was BAD enough, but something else on the bulletin was WORSE! Among the items for "discussion" on this agenda was FAMILY VISAS! Well, if there is ANYTHING that I AM against, it's yet MORE family visas! The most common rebuke against opposition to family visas, of course, is the emotional ploy to "think of the CHILDREN!" Well, I AM thinking of the children, OUR children, AMERICAN children! As a teacher, my Brazilian friend has seen FIRSTHAND how NON-English-speaking (the VAST majority of them!) ILLEGAL alien children DRAG down AMERICAN and LEGAL resident children in school! NOT to mention the FREE lunches and other such entitlements supposed to be ONLY for American and legal resident kids! The illegals' OWN countries are RESPONSIBLE for them, INCLUDING their CHILDREN!

Totally, quit the magnet send everyone home, now.

Put the military on the borders. Then put border patrol working on the interior with ICE's close supervision.

We need to start thinking of our children. Illegals are taking the low skill jobs while H1b's are taking what's left soon there will be nothing

Family Visas are perfectly legal. That has nothing to do with illegal immigration. I don't agree with them either and think they threaten our way of life even more than the illegals because once they're here, we're stuck with them. No sending them back to the cesspools that they come from.

Some American have the me...me attitude. Until the problems of illegals hit their job or money they don't care about other Americans. I see this daily! I have had an older family member say to me, "Well, I truly don't care because I won't be here for it to effect me."

Are these people in denial or stupid?

If we could end the birthrite citizenship magnet it would go a long ways to end some of our immigration issues.

Also we should pass a law that states that no more dual citizenship.
