NCLR
I go on the NCLR site to see what is up and what they are voting on. It looks like they are doing good at working against us.
Dear alice:
Two days ago we alerted you of upcoming votes on three potentially harmful amendments--dealing with detention, enforcement, and border issues--to the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act. Today, we have good news to report:
Thanks to your hard work and calls, these amendments were defeated yesterday morning!
We want to thank you for taking the time to call your senators and for doing your part to defeat these harmful amendments. We all understand that something needs to be done to address our broken immigration system. As advocates, we must continue pushing for a real solution that will restore the rule of law, provide a path to earned citizenship, reunite families, and take a step toward fixing our economy; misguided attempts to throw more money at the border will do nothing to fix the larger problem.
Don't let your senators' votes go unnoticed! Send your senators a letter thanking them for their leadership in opposing these harmful amendments! And if they voted wrong, let them know you are disappointed.
Not sure how your senators voted? Don't worry. We have it all tracked for you. Just click the links above and we'll set you up with the correct letters for your senators.
Thanks again, and have a great Memorial Day weekend!
Sincerely,
Ellie Klerlein
Associate Director, National Campaigns

I emailed this to both of my Senators and asked why they supported this hate group and voted against John McCain's request for more troops on the border.
