Sanders was born in the New York City borough of Brooklyn.

His father, Eli Sanders, was born on September 19, 1904, in Słopnice, Poland,^[20][21] to a Jewish family, and emigrated to the United States in 1921,^[22] at the age of seventeen.^{[20 [23]}

His mother, Dorothy Sanders (née Glassberg), was born in New York City on October 2, 1912,^[24][25] to Jewish immigrant parents from Poland and Russia.^[26][27]

Many of Eli's relatives who remained in Poland were killed in the Holocaust.<sup>[6][23][25][28]

As long as both of Sanders' parents were US citizens when he was born, then he is eligible for the presidency.

That's how simple it is and how completely corrupt it is to accept anything less. Like Cruz, like Rubio ... and who else? How else is sitting in government here in the US who claim citizenship based on fewer than two parents who were citizens when they were born?

It doesn't say anything about IF or WHEN either of his parents ever became citizens. That's why I said someone better check him out.

You know, I'm going to guess without looking into it that in the times that Sanders parents immigrated, way back in the early nineteen hundreds, that naturalization was a formal part of the immigration process. You could be rejected at the border for immigration. And so, his parents were probably made citizens as they stepped onto US soil.

Time certainly have changed, haven't they?
