Latest Mexican Outrage: Demand Legal Access To US!
In lamenting the death of Guillermo Martinez at the hands of the US Border Patrol last Saturday, Vicente Fox's chief spokesman, Ruben Aguilar, reportedly said "only a law that guarantees legal entry can resolve the migratory problem both countries face."
A law that guarantees legal entry? In other words, Mr. Aquilar, you believe the United States should have "open borders" so that anyone who wants to can enter America can do so whenever they wish and for whatever purpose? Regardless of the impact such migrants might have on US homeland security, our economy or culture?
And without regard to the wishes of American citizens?
With all due respect, Mr. Aguilar, you are confused. The fact that 15 million of your fellow Mexicans are now living here illegally has no doubt deluded you into believing we do not care. By failing to prevent or reverse illegal immigration until now, the US government is partially responsible for your misguided thinking.
But be advised that the events of September 11, 2001 have changed everything, forever. As a result, your thinking must be updated to recognize the following:
The United States is a sovereign nation, operating according to established borders and immigration laws. America's national priorities are based on the needs of AMERICAN CITIZENS, and without regard to the needs of Mexican citizens that our third-world neighbors are unwilling or unable to care for.
In addition, the US Congress is working to make our borders more secure and less accessible, including erection of a 700-mile fence at the US-Mexico border. To keep unwanted and illegal intruders from Mexico OUT!
Thus, any law that "guarantees legal entry" is NOT in the best interests of the American people, and will NOT be codified into US law any time soon.
Protecting the safety and well being of the American people is the number one priority of the US government, and the brave and patriotic individuals who serve as Border Patrol Agents have the complete support and admiration of all American citizens.
Finally, please tell Vicente Fox and other Mexican government officials to look inward for solutions to those "migratory problems." The days when Mexico could simply dump its problems on the US side of the border for US taxpayers to take care of are gone. Forever!Welcome To America: Now, Speak English----And ONLY English!

I agree had_enuf, and it's about time our government tells Mr. Fox to mind his own business and take care of his citizens! We are fed up with his stupid behavior and we don't owe him anything except to put him in his place!

But, what do we do if the years pass by and nothing changes?
Do we just keep on going as we have been?
What happens when the invaders achieve even higher numbers and their birthrate, that is 3 times higher than ours, results in the invaders eventually becoming the majority?
At what point in time do American patriots decide that the "system" no longer functions?
I ask these questions in earnest for I believe they must be asked.

I think we are awful close to that point. If Bush sabatoges the House Bill and gets a bill with Amnesty, that will be the final straw.
What will we do? I do not know.Welcome To America: Now, Speak English----And ONLY English!

I cannot understand for the life of me why one of the greatest nations in the world allows this type of BS from south of the border. Their leaders are giving press conferences & ours seem to be hiding in closets somewhere

This kind of behavior from these people does not suprise me, it only pisses me off. I found out through Oregonians for Immigration Reform site about a Gresham Oregon high school counselor being a member of that group MECHA!! Right in the district we live in (no my kids do not attend public schools). This man has a taxpayer paid job and is involved in a quasi-militant Latino group!!
This is their mentality. Live here on U.S. citizens dollars, make a nice comfortable living, then screw your American neighbors.
As well here is an article from one of our independent papers here, this is a neighborhood that we lived in for 8 years. Check this story out.

If only our govt. was as determined to protect U.S. citizens from the rapes, robberies, murders, assaults, carjackings, molestations, DUI/Hit & Run deaths and injuries caused by Mexico's citizens and public officials, including their police officers.
In Tijuana last year, an American family visiting their country LEGALLY was robbed by Tijuana Police Officers. The officers then held the father at gunpoint and raped the mother in front of the family and then at gunpoint took the father to an ATM and forced him to withdraw large sums of cash. Of course, you never heard President Bush condemn those actions.
From what I understand, the person shot was an illegal crosser who, when confronted by a lone Border Patrol agent, attacked the agent by throwing rocks at him. The agent fearing for his own life, then opened fire with one shot, as he has every right to do, and hit the illegal alien crosser.[b][i][size=117]"Leave like beaten rats. You old white people. It is your duty to die. Through love of having children, we are going to take over.â€

Now if Mexico allowed Americans to own Mexico's oil fields, and to directly own and develop land and businesses on Mexico's coasts, and to profit from such investments, and to be able to charge and prosecute all Mexicans that harm Americans in any way under American laws, then Mexico might have a case in asking for free entry of Mexicans into the US.
But I have never heard of any US poltician asking for even one of these items, let along George Bush asking for them. Let's face it, he loves Mexicans more than the Americans who elected him and pay him.

obhop asked "what will we do?"
We'll do what we were all born to do. We'll preserve the United States and kick their butts back home....by whatever means necessary.
had_enuf says "theirs are having press conferences and ours are hiding in the closets."
"ours are hiding in the closets" exactly what snakes and cowards do.
Unfortunately the American political system is infested with both.
