Cedillo pushes again to pass a California Dream Act
TRANSLATED FROM:
http://tinyurl.com/yvxk5e
The state senator Gil Cedillo (democrat of Los Angeles) said that he has plans to work along with the Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to achieve that undocumented students have the right of opt for a temporary residence and to continue their university studies once they finish highschool.
SB 1301 (California Dream Act.Version) "is an important measure, that counts on a lot of support and is instrumental to help prepare our students for the future in an economy that is being transformed overnight", said the senator to the Spanish news agency, Efe.
In 2007 Cedillo prompted a similar debate with the initiative SB 160. The initiative was approved by the Assembly, but Schwarzenegger vetoed it.
The difference between SB 160 (Old version) and SB 1301 is that undocumented students will be able to apply for financial aid from private funds and not from public funds like Grants.

California is 16.5 BILLION in the hole now, so where does this lame brain think the money will come from?
As a parent of a high school student, there is NO way I would send my kids to any college that offers illegal aliens in-state tuiton. I refuse to subsidize them! How many taxpayers think the same way as I do?Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Well this is nuts Calif. out of the clear blue sky can give these illegals permanent residency and AZ can bring in their own foreign guest workers...UMMMM just how does this work!
I think i will e-mail a few of the good Senators and ask that question....but then the head of DOT Mary Peters just ignores congress and does what ever she wants so what is the difference.

Every day it seems, every day we're fighting them! Every time I turn around, some 'lawmaker' is trying to create more problems that we already have now. I will never give up fighting them though...Although I am tired, very tired...
