A new electoral-map model finds Hillary Clinton crushing Donald Trump and Ted Cruz
Allan Smith 1h
A new Electoral College projection Wednesday from Morning Consult found that Hillary Clinton would secure massive victories in the general election against both Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, the two most likely Republican presidential nominees.
But the analysis also showed that Clinton, the former secretary of state and Democratic frontrunner, would suffer a defeat at the hands of John Kasich, the Ohio governor.
The study, which surveyed more than 44,000 registered voters across all 50 states, showed that Clinton would have the advantage in nearly every Midwestern swing state against Trump, the GOP frontrunner, and Cruz, the Texas senator nipping at his heels.
However, the analysis suggested that Kasich has the potential to flip the script in those states. The study showed Kasich holding leads in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, all states that his fellow remaining Republicans were projected to lose at this point.
The map was nearly identical for both Trump and Cruz, with Trump picking up an additional four votes for winning Maine. (However, Maine has voted reliably for Democratic candidates in every presidential election since 1988.)
Morning Consult, a polling, consulting, and technology firm, surveyed the more than 44,000 voters in all 50 states over a four-month period. The company combined those results with other factors like voter demographics and economic data to forecast an overall outcome in each state.
Clinton would edge out Trump and Cruz by more than 100 electoral votes, the analysis found. A candidate needs to secure 270 electoral votes to win the presidency.
Of note, roughly 18% of total respondents were still undecided.
Here's a look at the Trump-Clinton matchup at this point:
Nine states, which will likely be among the most hotly contested in the potential Trump-Clinton matchup, are currently within the margin of error — Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Florida, New Mexico, Nevada, New Hampshire, Indiana, and Maine.
Here's Clinton vs. Cruz:
Morning Consult
Cruz's map against Clinton sets up in a near-identical way to Trump's, but the margins within several states are vastly different.
And here's Clinton vs. Kasich:
Morning Consult
Kasich's theoretical map would be a dream GOP scenario, with nearly every swing state going in favor of the Ohio governor.

This makes no sense. When things don't make sense, they're usually wrong or fixed. Business Insider .... well, they would like Kasich because he supports open borders and free trade treason, but with an R instead of a D on it. Someone is continuing to push Kasich and it's not voters, so that's my best guess, a fixed "analysis" to try to keep him in the primary race on general election "electability".
Americans are going to vote for Trump and there's far more of US than there are business insiders who want to sell off our country to line their pockets.Last edited by Judy; 04-13-2016 at 02:56 PM.

The Democrats - they have the upperhand with their voter roles. That is why it is so important to nominate a NATIONALLY win-able republican candidate - the GOP wants to throw Trump away - unreal.
Kasich is a nothing - another deceiver - talks out of both sides of his mouth aka a politician. Ohio is the pits like many other towns that manufactured; he did nothing positive but negative in voting for trade deals. And areas are apparently reduced to heroin and crack havens as seen in a video clip posted at this site.

Yeah, exactly. Anything Soros is rotten to the core and that includes Kasich. I saw an interview of Montel Williams who is a big Kasich supporter and when asked why he supported Kasich, he said because Donald Trump got a medical deferment from Vietnam which made a lot of Veterans from the Vietnam War unhappy. WHAT??!! Vietnam Vets don't blame anyone for medical deferments during Vietnam. Try going into combat with heel spurs. You can't walk or stand any length of time at all. That's why the Army won't take you. My uncle Hank was rejected during WWII for being flat footed.
And that was the only reason Montel gave for supporting Kasich over Trump. Kasich of course never served in the military, Vietnam was over I guess by the time he was old enough and the draft was eliminated.
The whole Kasich candidacy is bizarre. He talks about illegal aliens like they're entitled to our country. He loves free trade that harms our country. He talks about hugs and silly stuff. He's an empty suit representing globalist interests from A to Z.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan

I wish I knew who left the gate unlocked, in US politics..........
The big question that I see is where will disaffected Democrats (probably Bernie supporters) go? This is the other ground game that they need to consider, and the GOP has its head in the sand. Of course, as they have done in other election years, the super conservative religious voters in the GOP could simply refuse to vote for Trump (as they refused to vote for the Mormon, Romney) and the GOP will lose big, and in a few years also lose Congress and we will be headed for your basic Yugoslavia status. Or at best, Sweden.
There are MANY people who are fed up with the whole political mess, and if Trump can keep a cool head----and the GOP fall in line----this could be a great turning point. It's the swing voters, stupid."Men of low degree are vanity, Men of high degree are a lie. " David

It truly is laughable. Trump will on the first ballot and he will defeat either Bernie or Hillary, either one, doesn't matter, in a November landslide.
The only problem for the "down-ballots" is that they didn't support the Front-Runner and were on the wrong team to begin with. If you're a member of Congress up for re-election this year, and you're not on the Trump Train, you're already too stupid to be in the US Congress. Beyond that it means you opposed his policies to fix our country, it says you want to perpetuate illegal immigration instead of stop it cold and run these people out of here, it tells on you that you support free trade treason and are paid by your donors to run our good jobs out of the country that are supposed to be here instead of illegal aliens who aren't supposed to be here. This all reveals that you're morons with an upside down view of our country because your heads aren't screwed on right, and that means you have to go.
Wow, Trump just had a fantastic Town Hall meeting on Hannity to night in Pittsburgh. Huge crowd that totally loved Trump. Standing ovation at the end and many many claps and applause and signs waving throughout. He's on his roll to the finish-line, folks.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan
