My only gardener and "maid" is yours truly. I have the money to pay people to do the work, but I don't like strangers being at liberty on my property. Besides, there isn't an icecube's chance in Hell that I would hire an illegal aliens for those or any other job.
You betcha and I wouldn't hire an illegal or employ anyone who does!

They probably got their figures from HB.

The reason I feel the % is off is because I own a "Outdoor Power Equipment Parts and Repair Service. I repair every kind of Lawn and Construction equipment there is. Commercial and Domestic. Including Recreational vehicles.
I run into Lawn Services on a daily Basis., and maybe twice a week a lawn service operated by Legal citizens will show up.
Well, it was a national study. I know that certain industries in Cal are dominated by illegals. But in states outside the border states, many of these jobs are done by legal Americans. Proximity to the border allows California employers great access to the illegals. The point is: Americans are doing these jobs. Take away the illegals, they would do them in California as well, because the access to the cheap labor would disappear, and the wages would rise to an acceptable level.
Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.

    See you at the signing!!

"Nation wide" ok that makes sense.
I was`nt saying that it`s not true, it`s just hard to believe. I hope it`s true.

    Very good point.
Yes,I do business with Illegals, I either do business with them or don`t do at all.

My billing is set up this way, For illegals there are "Hidden Charges and higher prices" for every citizen there`s "Hidden Discounts".
I have a city contract that does`nt expire until the end of May. After that I`m moving the Business out of Ca.

It's trying to say that we need illegal immigrants to do our work around the house. NOT IN MY HOUSE. We don't need illegal labor to do our work.

Someone writing this cartoon definately has an agenda. Maybe their afraid of losing their illegal labor. We don't need illegal aliens for household cleaning. We don't need to hire illegal aliens to cut lawns. My cousin runs a landscaping business and does'nt use illegal labor. Americans can hire legal residents to cut lawns and clean if they feel the need. We do it all ourselves in my house.
They certainly do have an agenda and it is to promote the idea we cannot do without illegals. What a bunch of Bull

I'll tell you what makes me made about it, They are portraying the American citizens as big fat, worthless, lazy, only sitting around flipping through the tv channels playing games. a mother too lazy to do her own shopping, What a bunch of crap propaganda.

Now I might have believed a little of it if they had put the father hard at work at his desk in his office, the kids involved in sports and after school activites, maybe working an after school Job. The mother a Doctor checking patience and on call 24 hours a day!!

NO, make us lazy, definitily a hostile pro illegal activist!!

Insulting! Actually I feel those cartoons are accurate in depicting Ted Kennedy's family.

Remember when comediens were funny. I just want them to make me laugh then... go away.

Disgusting cartoon........as for the 4th caption. Even though I live in California; guess where the grapes and lettuce in my supermarket are from??? Yep! South of the Border down Mexico way! Needless to say I don't buy them, and maybe the migrants should start migrating back south since that seems to be where all the jobs are going!

This is offensive because it implies that average Americans can't see past the BS.
Yup wealthy people hire maids and gardeners and have people to do their shopping for them. They would be "put out" for having to pay decent wages to their help.
The rest of us just go along doing what we've always done, the work that regular Americans will do. Clean our own homes, mow our own lawns, and pay for produce that is brought into our country from places like Chile.

Well you all have said it so eloquently! It is BS all the way.

I side with the man in the cartoon, not the spoiled children who will not help out and the mom who thinks her grocery bill is too high.

I'd pay $100.00 extra a year for my produce (that's saying a lot for us we live on one income, and not a very good one at that) if they would just ship back the illegals.

My son does our lawn, plus other peoples, incliding his grandmothers. My kids help out by cleaning, they clean their own rooms, do their own laundry (they are 13 and 9), plus they also know some basic cooking skills (Top Ramen, canned soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, etc..).

It is ridiculous that the OBLer's would like Americans to think that their homes would be filthy, their lawns overgrown, their grocery prices sky high if we did not have illegals in this country, it is all a LIE!

Maybe it's different from where I'm at, but there's tons of people here that employ illegals. ....then again I live in a gated community in South Florida so I guess the owners of these homes would rather pay someone who isn't even supposed to be here in cash so they don't have to mark it in their income taxes as a "luxury"....
These people should be ashamed of themselves! They may think they have a lot of class but from what I see its all low!
