    No 'sanctuaries' for illegals
    By Peter Hoekstra
    July 8, 2005

In the June 20 edition of Time Magazine, CIA Director Porter Goss "acknowledges that part of the difficulty in capturing Osama bin Laden is sanctuaries in nations." Since September 11, U.S. troops, alongside allied forces, have captured or killed hundreds of individuals, including the recent arrest of Abu Faraj al Libi â€â€

"Does this seem reasonable", the man asks. Sheesh...

To my mind there can be NO 'good intention' for breaking laws. The laws are on the books for the safety and well being of the citizens of this country. Usually. Sometimes they're misguided and backfire and get changed for that reason. But this 'sanctuary' stuff is only good for lawbreakers who do NOT have the interests of the citizens of THIS nation in mind. Perhaps a few corporations or businesses benefit, but the citizens never do...they pay the price. This puts those politicians that have declared their cities sanctuaries on the same level as the ones who break the laws and should find themselves looking thru the same bars...right up until the day they're all hanged. That is the penalty for treason, isn't it?

States and local officials that have created "cities of sanctuary" need to rethink their position.
With all due respect Congressman, no they don't need to rethink their position. They need to be punished severely. All federal funds should be withheld from any county, city, and state that provides sanctuary for illegals and those officials that put those illegal sanctuary policies in place should be removed from power (impeachment) and then should be thrown in jail and have all of their assets ceased under RICO. I say the jail term should be at least 20 years with no parole.

TIME FOR AMERICA TO WAKE AND SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Time for you Mr Congressman to grow a spine and get in step with the Tom Tancredos of the world and reign down political terror on all those who betray our great nation.
