NO to United Arab Emirates Control of Ports!
This is so ridiculous. A country that is KNOWN to harbor and support terrorists is going to be given control of our PORTS!? Some of those ports are in New York, and as a New Yorker I no longer feel safe.
DP World said Robert Woods, a British citizen, would have authority over the U.S. ports during the review. Woods is the chief executive of London-based Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Co., which DP World purchased for $6.8 billion.
Critics of the deal have cited the UAE's history as an operational and financial base for the hijackers who attacked New York and Washington on Sept. 11, 2001. Furthermore, the U.S. raised concerns with the UAE several years ago about possible ties between officials and
Osama bin Laden, according to the report by the independent commission that investigated the attacks.
Also, the UAE was one of only three countries that recognized the Taliban government in Afghanistan before its 2001 overthrow by U.S.-led forces.

And this morning, it was on one of the news stations that Bill Frist has sided with the traitors on this issue now. He "studied" it and can't see where it will harm us. I could just scream when I hear that people who acted like they had some sense once change their mind in favor of their pockets. Someone either threatened or bribed Frist, I'd be willing to bet on it.
