For Internet Explorer:

In menus, do the following -

Tools->Internet Options;

In new window:

Select General tab, click Delete cookies

Clearing your browser cache periodically is something I recommend to do. It will flush all the local files caches on your system and force them to be 'refreshed' from the web site(s) as you revisit them.

For Firefox:

SOSAD's 'to do list' for the computer:

1. Be sure to clear the browser cache once in a while (do once a week or so)
2. Defragment that hard drive(s) (do once a week if possible)
3. Anti-virus/anti-spyware scan (early and often!)
4. (etc; there are others, but those are the most basic for most Windoes users... - especially true if you're machine has been in use a while or you have a fast net connection...)

Good ideas Phrede. Actually, I clear my history and cache each time Im about to close my browser or computer

I run the short scan on spyware several times a day. If you have a good spyware software you'd be amazed how many you get and you'll start identifying sites you go to that attach them

I haven't defraged in a while but should. I haven't had any problems
