Critics are urging those concerned about Obama’s decision to sign the document with no legislative oversight to demand the Senate be forced to ratify the treaty.
HUH?? Is this a misprint? Seems to me if you are concerned about Obama's decision, the LAST thing you would do is demand the Senate be forced to ratify the treaty. We should be demanding the Senate not only REFUSE to ratify the treaty, i.e., defeat it, but the Senate should also formally rebuke the president for overstepping his authority and embarrassing the nation via his arrogant action and posturing.

After the SOPA/PIPA fiasco I doubt the Senate would ratify ACTA but by forcing submission to the Senate for ratification it would ensure the defeat of the treaty. The real test will come when there is an enforcement action in the US which will result inf a lawsuit which will doubtless make it to the Supreme Court.

I think they know the Senate would have to vote down this via ratification or face being kicked out of office.
