For one, the law was not yet on the books when the child died, two, the child's parents should not have been here illegally, hence they are the ones who are criminal and negligent, not the state law.

Per haps this editorial hack piece was written in advance of President Calderon's visit to the US to bolster that supporters of illegal immigration. Why are we even allowing that man to speak here. I think his speeches should be overwhelmingly attended by us to boo him and ask him pointed questions concerning what he is doing to stop the illegal immigrants entering Mexico from the south and why is the Mexican army protecting drug runners at our borders?

Bank robbers are afraid to go to the hospital for gunshot wounds for much the same reason - fear of punishment for breaking the law.

Sorry, but the infants PARENTS are responsible for his death, NOT our country!

It is tragic that the child died. It should not have happened. So who's responsible here? THE PARENTS. They knew their child was sick, and REFUSED to bring the child to the hospital for proper care. They only thought of themselves and not the health of their kid.

We wouldn't be talking about it right now if they weren't here.

If these people knew that America was no longer a free ride and if they were responsible enough to know they shouldn't start having a family at a young age perhaps this would have been avoided. Most people try to have children when they know they can afford them and care for them. These people don't. Today was the first day I read this story. I agree with you it's wrong for the parents to blame laws set in place against illegal immigration. Illegal immigrants pretty much throw personal responsibility out the window when they come here and when the things go wrong they blame someone else.

of course, it is always the fault of Americans for anything that happens to illegals.
why didn't the stupid illegal alien baby makers go to the Mexican consulate and ask them to get free medical for them back in Mexico.
